Like when Xena did a guest spot on the Simpsons and answered fan questions about plot inconsistencies: when you notice something like that you can't explain, a wizard did it.

I don't know if this is canon or whatever but in the Japanese TWW site, Laruto is described as the last of the Zora race, which were wiped out completely by Ganon in his Red Wrath.
That's canon alright. Perhaps the Medli being more duck-like because she's the only Zora theory has something else to back it up. MJ, if possible, could you look for more stuff on the japanese site to see if there's more information about other matters not revealed in the game itself? I'd like find out more about this stuff so I can have more accurate theories involving TWW. I'm changing my mind about ALL the Rito being the Zora now that I've heard this. I think the Zora may be extinct in TWW.

You lot know that the UK minish cap microsite stated that TMC link was the hero of time right? I really don't think you want to consider the official websites canon.

a fish/bird drawing? what's it look like?
Like a fish... and a bird.
I never believed the rito-zora thing. though it's possible they interbred.
So you're saying there were Ritos in OoT? I do think there's some Hylian and Terminian in the Rito blood though, as they seem more link People/Birds then Birds. There are the postman references. Ruto+Postman=lots of litte fishies+time+magic=Rito race.

I have no evidence for that, especially since I haven't played tMC yet - although I have seen a sprite of a Wind Tribe person who seemed to have a beak...

But...
Maybe they eventually evolved into the Ritos because they were so high up in the sky, ala Kokiri-Koroks. And with the Gorons gone from Death Mountain...

hmm... much as i don't agree the rito have their origins in the zora, let's not forget that the water temple had a hookshot in it.. <.<
oh wait, that's lake hylia though, not the zoras' domain.. perhaps the pre-rito used to worship in that temple? tee hee. the temples are so silly.... located where nobody lives.. or logically ever lived... to use..

How is a website canon? It's completely external to the narrative of the games.
You lot know that the UK minish cap microsite stated that TMC link was the hero of time right? I really don't think you want to consider the official websites canon.
That's why I wasn't sure. But considering how all the other character descriptions were accurate, I'd say it's info is pretty reliable.
BTW: I think I know what Zythe is talking about.
