The half-demon remained completely silent, and motionless with her back still resting up against the tree trunk she had seated herself by. It wasn't the first time she had seen these bandits wandering through the forest. They were usually meandering through the forest, seeking the next individuals that would be victim to their pillage-and-kill sprees.
Her ears twitched in the direction of the cracking of twigs and dried leaves just beyond the bushes that enclosed the little clearing their campsite was situated in. The bandits were close.

Kain stood motionless, hand ready to draw his sword. He knew his plan of action. He would cut a hole in the dimensional rift and leap in and out of it, from area to area, slicing and cutting the individuals to pieces. His hunger rose, he had not fed in a few hours. His fangs ached with greed as they anticipated the food that was on its way.

'When is conflict going to start?' Riayu wondered in his head 'What is going to break to the ice?'
Just everyone except him was in a position to battle. Raiyu would have to stay defensive and run around while the others fought.

He hated doing such a cowardly action but the situation left him no real choice.

Dante jumped from his position, revealing himself. He flung his hand out as his coat waved in the breeze of his attacks that were powering up. He released streams of flames from his hands, searing men here and there. The battle had begun.

Eventully, he got away, and had set himself up in a tree and looked at the battle from a distance.
His attention was especially focused on Katsumi.
That half-demon was a light of hope for young Ken. Raiyu hoped she would stay, if only to help the young boy.

The feline had remained completely still as the bandits entered the clearing. Swallowing, she waited for the first move. A flock of birds had chased away a large number of the bandits, but now, the company had been left with only the bravest of the enemies to tackle.
Everything happened so suddenly, and so unpredictably. Although unable to identify the others in their camouflage as they too remained motionless, Katsumi had noticed the ring of fire form above the clearing in the night sky.
The screams of the bandits immersed in the scolding fire were quick to her ears. The camouflage of the demon beside her suddenly dropped as Raiyu took flight with an unconscious Ken in his arms. Suspicious of the unusually cowardly behaviour of the demon, she remains motionless and watches as he sprints out of the clearing.
With her attention off in the direction of Raiyu, it was the agonizing cries of the burning bandits that drew her back to the fight at hand. Instinctively, the feline flattens her ears against the sides of her head, pupils dilating. Almost instantly she had turned from the calmed half-human character she was, to a destructive demon. With a push off the tree she was crouched against, Katsumi fires herself onto a nearby bandit. Claws reach over the flailing bandit's head and gouge into his tightly shut eyes. Ripping backwards, the bandit shrieks as his eyes are torn from his sockets with such a force that his neck snaps backwards with a sickening crack. Pushing off her victim, she darts to her next.
Hardly touching the ground, Katsumi moves through the chaos with relative order. Behind her lay a trail of victims with broken necks, gouged out eyes, torn out tracheas, and spurting carotid arteries.

Kain let his sword swing through the air, striking down opponents with little effort. He would occasionally grab one of his victims and leap into a tree to feed on them while they were still fresh with warm blood.

Raiyu jumped off the tree and landed carefully, still holding Ken in his arms. He walked over to the rest of the group.
'These bandits... How large can their army possibly be?' he thought to himself, looking over the dead bodies.
The wolf demon stopped a few yards from everyone else.
"Well, what do we do now?" he asked nonchalantly.

"What could these bandits want to acheive, or what could they be searching for? They have to have a purpose for their violence." Dante spoke again, as he bent down to one of the bandits that had been slain in the fight.
He moved the hair out of his face, revealing an extremely young man, even more so than Ken it seemed.
"It is but a child. What kind of cruel force could make someone so young endure this kind of evil? Who would make him face his death without even experiencing life?" Dante said as he wiped some of the blood and dirt from the young man's face.
"These people are a force to be reckoned with, but we must find out there goal first. We must find what they are looking for and obtain it before they do." He said with a quivering voice, which was very rare for Dante. His voice did not quiver out of fear though, but out of anger.
"And then they can face us. And by hell or high water, they will be stopped!" He exclaimed as he withdrew his sword.
He approached the nearest tree and swung his blade twice, carving a crude and jagged-edge D into it. It suddenly went alight with flame then died. The D was now a burn in the bright green moss of the tree.
"They will know who did this to their soldiers. I want them to seek us out. They will have to defeat me before they acheive their goal." Dante let his sword fall, but it fade out of sight before it hit the ground. He spun around and looked at his fellow companions as a slight breeze began to pick up, whipping his hair a little.
"Are you all with me?" He questioned them, confident of their answers.

"Whatever you say, Cap'n"
He thought aloud. He would do all he could to save lives, but it didn't mean that he couldn't be sarcastic about it. After all, if the vampire was going to be the all action hero, they needed somebody to provide the witty comments, and by the look of the people around here, George was all they had.

"Where Ken goes, I go." he stated simply.
He knew that Ken would want to go after the bandits if he was awake. There was no point in diverting the course of action now.

On any normal occasion, the feline would have told them otherwise, but with a single, brief glance at the young man only a few years younger than her cradled in the wolf demon's arms her decision was made.
Hesitantly, the feline gives a small wordless nod of agreement.

Kain smirked and looked up at Dante as he wiped blood from his mouth.
"A chance for more fresh blood? I'm up for the challenge!" Kain said greedily, as his red eyes started to fade back to green.
--------
"So it is agreed then..." Dante spoke again.
"We shall continue on until these bandits are defeated." Dante said, as he looked down at the slain boy where he just was.
"Ken's village shall be avenged, as well as every other unnecesary death these people have caused. But for now, we all must truly rest, for tomorrow we push onward until the next town." Dante said as he sat down and leaned up against a tree.
With a flick of his wrist, a flame rose up out of no where in front of him. He closed his eyes and began to sleep, if not for just a short while.

The wolf demon felt content. He almost wished time would stop so that he wouldn't have to worry about tommarow. He wished Ken would just stay there with him forever, knowing the child was happy with him.
Raiyu's own memories started resurfacing. Of times when he was more crueler. Before Ken.
Raiyu the Silverblood Wolf.
He remebered being called that. He was bloodthirsty, easily angered, and not very subtle. Ever since, those parts of him were pacified to good degree.
He also remembered being feared. He became well known to some of the demon population, and made quite a few enemies. He wondered if any demons actually knew he was still alive...

Katsumi lays down on her front on the branch, hands protecting her cheek from the rough bark. Looking down at the company setting in below her, she heaves a light sigh.
Through the years she had made the forest a home, she noticed that the bandit scouts, traders, and thieves were the only ones that wandered out this far. Traders took a well tread path to town, dressed as merchants and covering any identifying marks and symbols, to do business with the townspeople and collect money from their revenue to purchase goods and food to sell back at their encampment. Thieves usually stalked the path that ran through the forest off to the east and preyed on unsuspecting victims.
The feline found it rather odd that so many bandits had come through the forest to attack them. The only time she remembered seeing this many bandits was when they had destroyed her village…
Katsumi breathes another sigh at the thought of her home. Ridding her mind of the thoughts, she slowly closes her eyes, allowing her to rest but not sleep. She felt a need to stay partially awake in case anything else unusual turned up during the night.

*Images a half vampire, half demon creature lurked and glided in his head. The creature with a deep blue skeletal structure waived his wraith blade version of the Soul Reaver, Kain's physical sword with unmatched power. He weilded the sword and swung it with ease, as if the sword was made for him. The glowing white eyes waivered and flickered as he jumped from place to place. Far below the being was a swirling vortex.
The creature's name was Raziel, once the best of Kain's generals of the Vampire Army. Although he was once a human priest, Kain killed him and brought him back from the dead to a vampiric life. Kain later on sentenced Raziel to death for evolving before himself. He was tossed into the Lake of the Dead, a swirling vortex in Nosgoth. He was brought back from death to search and consume souls and seek his knowledge of his life before he was a vampire, as well as revenge on Kain. Although Kain was the soul being Raziel could trust, Raziel never grew to trust him after Kain's merciless verdict.
Raziel approached Kain, holding his wraith blade high. The closer he approached, the more defenseless Kain felt. Raziel was but a arms legnth away. He spoke softly, saying something that Kain could not make out. The glowing eyes of Raziel turned to slits as he pulled down his tribal shroud away from his jawless and scarred mouth. A sickening sound of deep inhalation filled the air as Raziel began to pull Kain's soul from his body. Kain could feel the pull of his spirit leaving him.*
Kain lurched forward out of his deep slumber. He was sweating perfusely. Kain knew what the dream meant, but he was afraid to toy with the thought of Raziel coming to this world. Even though him and Raziel were truly allies in Nosgoth, ill feelings were still between them.
Kain looked upward at the sky. It was now a dark blue. Dawn was approaching. Kain looked down at the smoldering fire below. He knew as soon as light came, the others would wake as well. He could only wait for them to awaken. He also needed to find Raziel as soon as he came to this world. He would know when he got her, he would feel it. But finding would be a different story.

As he was flying he saw some unusual movement on the ground. There seemed to be some huge beast like none he had seen before sprinting in the direction of the camp. The creature seemed to be on a morning hunt itself, but for something larger than a rabbit. Maybe a group of random travelers.
George flew back towards cmap as fast as he could, he could hunt later, for now he had to warn the others....

George flew down close to the ground to get a closer look at this beast. It looked a bit like a wolf, yet it had a golden maine and some very sharp tusks. It was running faster than a wofl could as well. It moved like a rabbbit when it senses a preditor. George was having trouble keeping up with the thing. George could also smell the beast, but that wasn't hard. It smelt like raw sewage. Its stench much surely give it away, and let its prey know that it was coming.
Overall it seemed that it was a quite formidable foe. George decided to warn the others, then stay up in the air.

Dante however did not. His awoke from his sleep suddenly. He heard the cry, not knowing if it was friend or foe, then he felt the presence of George, their feathered companion. But the presence of of George was not all he felt, he felt something else, something much much worse.
"Kain, be on your guard." He whispered up to Kain who was still in the tree staring at the color-changing sky.

From the hole descended the dark blue creature Kain knew all too well. He grinned a crooked smile as he saw the creature known as Raziel floating down from the sky with his tattered wings catching wind. Now that Kain at least was aware of Raziel's existence in this plane, he turned his attention to the more pressing matter, the odd stench floating about in the air.
He rolled off the branch and floated gently down to the ground, flipping himself around to land on his feet. Without a sound Kain touched down and immediately turned to Dante.
"What is it? Can you see it?"
-------
Dante looked scornfully at Kain. "It doesn't work that way, I can't just see a picture of whats coming. I can only sense it and its aura. This thing doesn't seem to be friendly." Dante said, closing his eyes to try to focus more.
They could all now hear the rumbling of the creature that was not to far away. They could hear trees fall that were once in the path of the beast. What ever it was, it was determined in its destination, which was apparently them.

He ran up next to Kain and Dante, ready for the fight. There would be no chance of negotiations. Simple monsters held no intellgience. His hand already clasped on his sword, Ken drew Wolfen and held it in a defensive stance.
Ken just nodded his head.

Akio looked up hearing the forest around him trembling. His violet eyes grazed over the trees around him and he slipped the rest of his tea and his bare feet patted the cold grassy floor as he walked over to a lake and washed the cup out.
Untying the blanket from around his back and opened it like a bag. He sat the tea cup inside the small pouch and spun the dark brown blanket and tied it around his back again.
Akio lifted one tan hand and moved his dark umber bangs out of his eyes. He sighed and slipped on his sandals and began walking. His right hand clutched his wooden staff that had wraps at the top and bottom. He stopped and listened closely to the trees around him. He was completely human but he was beginning to be able to sense when a demon was around.
His violet orbs opened again and with the swift wind at his back his began walking a slow relaxed pace. There was more the one demon in the forest currently, hopefully one would kill the other, so he wouldn’t have to fight both of them.
I can't really describe his outfit very well so here,

'Raiyu, do you just sneeze?'
<... Yes.>
Ken regained his stance as the sound of the monster became louder.
'... Dare I ask how?'

Akio shook his head. He really didn't like the small abilities he had learned over the years. But it had been for the best. He looked up at the trees again. How could they be so calm so...so...not there, not in danger and not careing what happeneds to them. Akio wished he had the simple life of a tree.
But with his luck he probably be caught in a forest fire. He shivered and continued walking. Hoping that one of the two demons will kill off one another before he got to them. It wasn't that Akio didn't fighting, he lived for it. He just didn't want to expell more energy then he needed.
