I've gotten some new decks as an early birthday gift and I hit the jackpot! I've actually managed to accumulate 2 Obelisks the Tormentors and 3 Winged Dragon of RAs...hehe...my sister better watch out now...

Too bad they're illegal in the game not only due to their effects but also their backing and nothing more than collectors items.

And Dustan...I always thought they were called spell cards within the english game. As for the new structure decks I haven't bought any but I hear the zombie one is supposed to be pretty unstoppable for a structure deck.

Sorry that the images are so big I coulden't find any smaller. Here is what I was talking about. Notice the top card is a new card, just recently released, or re-released. It is called a spell card. On the bottom is a old card, and it is called a magic card. I coulden't find the example of what I was speaking aobut earlier, where my friend had a card that was a spell card, and I had a Magic card, and they were both the same just made at different time. Since his is from a new deck, and mine are all old cards, mostly first edition when this first came out. I just wanted to point out the difference so you can all see it. I think Pharos is right though, it may have been something to do with Magic the Gathering.

So it is......I guess they probably changed it to not get confused with MTG....

On a sidenote...Double Spell is a very very nice card....O_O

Its like Gravedigger without as big a sacrifice or Saint Magician with easier activation.

How many of you here enjoy the Yugioh anime series? I have been watching it for a long time, from the beginning to Master Marik's defeat. I collect Yugioh cards too! Let this thread be a good discussion place for fans of the Yugioh anime series. ^.^

Dai Grepher: I enjoy the anime series and the card game, though I don't collect cards or play in tournaments. I do however own one of the Yu-gi-oh games, and find the strategy and story of it to be very fun.
The storyline of the anime however I find quit satanic, and don't believe that kids should be watching the show. It is a show more fit for Adult Swim.

For those of you who love the Yugioh trading card game besides the Anime series, it'd be great if you could introduce yourself to your duelist friends here. For a good detailed info, please use the following guidelines:

Dai Grepher: Guidelines acknowledged. First I would like to say that my user name is actually a Duel Monsters character named Warrior Dai Grepher. It is number 1051 and it has an attack of 1700 and a defence of 1600. I like the story behind this card; A warrior that can manipulate dragons. No one knows the truth about his mysterious past. He's the kind of character I would like to see in the anime show as an actual duelist.

1. Name your favorite normal-monster card
Warrior Dai Grepher.

2. Your favorite Trap card
Solemn Wishes.

3. Your favorite Magic card
Monster Reborn.

4. Your favorite Fusion card.
Empress Judge.

5. Your favortie Special-Effect Monster card
Fire Princess.

6. What card, in your possession, do you treasure so much?
(none)

7. What is your most favorite Millenium Item?
The Millenium Necklace, though I've never seen what the Scale does.

8. What card, not in your possession, do you desire to have?
All of them, because I have none. :D

9. Which one of the following best describes your behavior when you are dueling with an opponent?
-a) Timid/Shy
-B) Friendly
-c) Quarrelsome
-d) Constantly bragging (Joey Wheeler)
-e) Proud & cold-heart (Kaiba ;))
-f) Sullen
-g) Frenzy/Insane
-h) None of the above
H. I tend to keep a poker face when dueling. I am not friendly or provoking. I am forceful to make plays and do not respond emotionally to attacks on me or my life points. I favor cunning over all else, and let my plays speak for me.

10) Which one of the following best describes your skill as a Yugioh duelist?
-a) Beginner/inexperienced
-B) Fair
-c) Good
-d) Expert
-e) Duel Master (has an enormous knowledge of cards and tactics)
E.

11) What card would be your deck master?
Warrior Dai Grepher. I've even thought up some special abilities for him.

Here's mine:
1. Blue-Eyes White Dragon
2. Mirror Force
3. Monster Reborn
4. Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon
5. Jinzo
6. Same as #1
7. Millenium Puzzle
8. Silfer the Sky Dragon

Dai Grepher: They actually sell Slifer the Sky Dragon in specialty packs now. I've seen them at Target and other such retail stores. The pack has two windows. The first has one card in it to showcase. The cards very from Dark Ruler Ha Des, Relinquished, and Dark Necrofear all the way to Slifer.

9. (B) Friendly
10. (d) Expert
11. undecided

Dai Grepher: Interesting. I hope to see you around the forums in the future.

Well, when I play with my sister it's totally legal 'cos we both have God Cards and it makes the game more challenging....

Anyway, it's just a friendly game

Well obviously in friendly games as long both of you have acknowledged its okay to use, but in any other case they're definitely illegal. Besides theres also the issue that many of the God card effects are ambigious they are inconsistent in their rulings.

7. What is your most favorite Millenium Item?
The Millenium Necklace, though I've never seen what the Scale does.

The Scale weighs your hearts good to your evil and sees into your soul.....if you prove to be too evil it condemns you.

You've got a point about the effects' problems...we just use the effects from the series

Well thats exactly what I'm on about..........

At one point in the series the God Cards were completely immune to the trap Mirror Force (Obelisk) next second they were being pinned down by traps like Spellbinding Circle.

Than theres Ra's effects which are questionable since one is the Quick Kill ability which has absolutely no effect in the game yet is present since in the anime you can't attack on your first turn of a special summoning.

Its not so much that just because they have different backing they're illegal...but the effects are inconsistent.

I figured this would be the best place to ask this... Are there any cards which help with drawing Spell Cards? I'm looking for a way to get Polymerization out of my deck that bit quicker, without slapping 3 copies of it into my deck and taking up valuable space. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated ^_^ Thank you.

Oh, and whats the rule with using Fusion monsters as Fusion material? Do you need to have fused them first before you can use them? I'd imagine so, but I'm just checking. Cheers.

I suppose if you play the very expensive but powerful Union deck than fusions do work........

Although my deck would actually work well as a fusion deck..........if I could get hold of a Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon that is =_=

Wow! Just when I return after a very long absence, I'm surprised to see many Yugioh fans gather here! You guys rock! ;)

Time for me to use the Seal of Orichalcos to capture your souls. ^.^ The new anime episodes were awesome!

@Sety: I have seen the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon out on sale in a mall. The thing is, they charge lots of money for a single card. <_<

Crooked street merchants always try to get the most money out of people. It's always how they work.I'm just guessing, but it's probably going in the $100-$299 area? I might be wrong (probably am) but why not give out a guess?

At the most I could see any card only worth around 30-50.....

BEUD though I believe is impossible for me to get and use because its in a US only tournament pack thats not been issued in Europe yet.

Thats what I'm thinking......I've only ever seen it available in japanese and its not listed as a english available card. Yet there are many who claim it exists......so I'm thinking either its some US promo tournament card or it just plain doesn't exist.

The BEUD card I saw was in Japanese, not English. They do sell Japanese cards there. When I asked the seller if she had English version of the BEUD card, she looked up a list and said it wasn't available in their stall.

I think I have seen the card in an online store but that was when I was in USA before moving to Canada. If I recall correctly, that card must be an English version from the preview.

Well, BEUD doesn't have any special abilities or anything, so the Japenese must read "[Fusion] Blue Eyes White Dragon +Blue Eyes White Dragon +Blue Eyes White Dragon"

Is there a way you can summon 3 BEUD in a single game? A friend told me about that tactic a few years back but I had forgotten all about it. I think it's the way of using Cyberstein and a few healing cards. The Flute of Summoning Dragon doesn't work on the BEUD when I tried that in GBA. :s:

Oh, and I just saw the part of the anime where the Seal of Orichalcos failed to take the losing duelist's soul, for the first time.

Well, the way I see it is that Flute of summoning dragon won't work on BEUD becase it is considered a fusion monster. Fusion monsters can only be created and summoned by polymersation (sp.?), thus the flute won't work at all. Well, that's how I see it.
