In fact they started a new series called Yugioh GX which only has the old characters in small cameos now and again and has a much more light hearted theme.

I'm so confused by Yu-Gi-Oh. I suppose it comes from having played Magic:TG for years. It just doesn't seem that much of a fair game, Yu-Gi-Oh... All you need are the most powerful cards, and you've basically won. Suppose with time I'll be able to build a reasonable deck. I'm still quite fond of using lots of Spell and Trap Cards, with just a set of basic low-Star monsters with Flip Effects to stop any direct attacks. Now, to find some more monsters similiar to Steel Scorpion and Man-Eater Bug...

Problem with those cards I can trample through them with my Paladin of White Dragon's since they can destroy those kind of cards without flipping them.

And I suppose theres of broken cards out there though....like Yatagarasu and Envoy of the Beginning.

Steel Scorpion destroys any Non-Machine monster attacking it, its not a Flip effect ^_^ Or, I could just use Magicjammer on the Ritual Spell :D Hehe.... I could do that, right? =/

Dark Ruler Ha Des
DARK Feind 2450 ATT/2000 DEF
"As long as this card remains faceup on the feild, negate the effects of Effect monsters destroyed By Feind Monsters on your side of the feild. this monster cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard"

Nobleman of Crossout
MAGIC
"Select one facedown monster and remove it from play. if the selected monster is a flip-effect monster, both players must remove any versions of the card from their decks"

Man-Eaters haven't been a problem for me since Legacy of Darkness came out. ;)

and Sety, it'll take a lot more then a few Getsus to stop me

there are ways of getting around them. of course I could jsut kamikaze into them and then hit you hard

Ace is a good duelist here too
he can think up good strategies using common cards and would ROCK a lot of people here (just from playing you sety, I feel as though he'd be apretty good challenge for you. IM him on AIM and challenge him)
we (a friend and I) made him a water deck and he loved teh hell out of it. but he simply didn't have the motivation(nor the cash) to get any decent staples for the deck (it was made nearly all of commons. still playable, but still needed a few more good cards)

I've now go his water deck and I've tricked it out as much as I could

still trying to fix it up though.

he plays whenever we're together with common decks (and still manages to win from time to time)

also, reagarding the "best cards win" comment
the ban-list has leveled the playing feild, as has the new set that has just come out

Dark Beginnings is a culmination of all teh good cards from the original sets all packed into one (with the rarities dropped)

it's a really good time to get into YGO right now

Thats why I pack Chaos Sorcerors, fun indirect destruction and a large variety of traps for all occasions

and Sety, it'll take a lot more then a few Getsus to stop me

there are ways of getting around them. of course I could jsut kamikaze into them and then hit you hard

I'm impressed to see you duelists here have different personalities! You all are unique! ;)

I remember of a program called "Virtual Duel" or something like that. I heard it's what players can use to play against each other through the net. Has anyone tried using that program before? Personally I never used that program so I know too little of it.

Card Destruction. GG knows why I like it.

I happen to have that card too but I never used it. It always messed up my strategy whenever Marik played it on me. ;)

Maybe English isn't his first lanquage, DJ?

I personally like Yu-gi-oh, but prefer the uncensored manga. I do play the card game and have for years. I answer the questons thought since right now I do not have the time.

No... If English wasn't his first language, either he/she would type in his/her language or omit words here and there... I think it's lazy typing.

I built some decks on Yugioh Virtual Desktop (YVD for short), and I'm sure people would find them quite... annoying. :P
