Black Suit Spider-Man. o_o He wore the symbiote for years before they did the whole Venom thing. It's kind of one of the most iconic parts of the Spider-Man comic.

I don't either, but I know all this stuff. XD Be prepared to have nerds rage so hard at you when you say you love Spider-Man but don't know about this stuff. :P

He's just my favorite! :P
Batman is scary and Superman isn't as cool.

I've already had a nerd rage at me before. But ALL he EVER talked about was super heros. There was one time I was helping him with History homework and he tried to compare the Epic of Gilgamesh to some kind of superhero in his work. So I was like, "Uhh... maybe you can leave out the superhero bit?"

I'm talking about how Spiderman is cooler because he actually has superpowers, not just a bunch of money.
I'd rather go with Spiderman while he shoots webs across the city than ride a bat mobile. Pshhht.

On the other hand, I'd rather go with Batman because of Christopher Nolan.

That's really it.

Spider-Man shoots webs because he invented something that lets him do it. XD It's not a part of his powers. He's just really smart. Web shooting isn't a power.

In all fairness, it depends on which incarnation of Spiderman you're talking about. In terms of television, the better versions (aka the 90's cartoon and the new movie) had web shooters, rather than him actually shooting the web himself. :P

Yes. Yes they did. The only time he didn't need the web shooters? When he was wearing that black suit. xD

And Turtlelot, I think the Raimi movies were the only time regular Spider-Man didn't need webshooters. :C

That was what the movies did well. Never liked the web shooters.

"Oh no I've run out of webbing!"

"Hey, Pete, see that spider over there? Yeah, it's better than you."

Without webbing Spider-Man is just a clingy gymnast.

The Raimi movies used the same bullshit no webbing trick to create tension though. XD except instead of running out of webbing, his powers magically stopped working. Wtf was that?

IT WAS SUSPENSEFUL.

I LIKE SUSPENSE.

Mike and Andy are both spiders:

"Hey Andy how are you today?"

"Not good Mike, feeling a bit depressed. I don't think I'll be able to shit out as much webbing today."

"Oh well, tomorrow's another day. Maybe you'll feel better."

Versus good old Pete:

"Crap, out of webbing. I must go home and brew up some more MAGIC STICKY STUFF THAT NO ONE ELSE IN THE WORLD CAN MAKE and condense it down INTO CARTRIDGE FORM all the while HAVING NO MONEY TO PAY FOR ANY OF IT."

:P

Spiderman could probably have done a better job at fighting crime by patenting his webbing fluid, going into business producing it, and hiring a private polive force or something with the proceeds. At least give the money to charity, anyway.

Here's Spidey explaining how his web shooters work:

I don't know the practical application for the fluid though. Even Spiderman can only use it to swing from because of his super strength and agility.
