Posts?
Also next year I will demand we manually draft

That was the plan. If we get started earlier it will be no problem.

Maybe a user logo? A post prize is largely inconsequential.

I'll join! I have no clue about American Football (I had it on my SNES once, but it was too confusing), though.

haha. I'm in a real-football-fantasy-football league too! The official Premier League one, to be precise. And I don't know anything about it. I just pick people who did well last year and who are cheap.

It's actually way easier to do fake-football-fantasy-football via Yahoo than it is to do the real-football-fantasy-football, I've found.

I was just using Showsni's terminology.

Also, technically, England-Football came first.

Okay guys, nitty-gritty details time:

Is everbody okay with PPR scoring? That is 1 point per reception, or 1 point for every time a receiver catches a ball. This makes many smaller-time, possession receivers more potent. I prefer it, personally. Natural scoring is 0 points per reception.

Is everybody okay with 1 QB? 2 WRs? 2 RBs? 1 TE? 2 W/R/T (flex)? 1 kicker? One defense? Some leagues run dual QBs, some run more WRs, less flexes. I run with 2 flexes because I like using more people, y'know? Why agonize over decisions when you can just play both? All it comes down to is different levels of strategy. We could be totally wonky and run 3 kickers each. Or just be straight. Your call, errybody.

Does anybody want different scoring for anything? RIght now we don't count any special teams points like receiving yards and return touchdowns. We also don't do bonuses for breaking 100 yards and such. You can check the scoring on the Yahoo page, but the pertinent basics are:

QB = 4 pts per passing TD; 6 pts per rushing TD; 1 pt per 25 passing yards; 1 pt per 10 rushing yards; -1 pt per interception; -1 pt per fumble lost
Typical stat line = 225 passing yards, 10 rush, 2 TDs, 1 INT = 9 + 1 + 8 - 1 = 17 pts
(This actually favors quarterbacks that run a lot, because their points are worth more. Additionally, QBs who do a lot of goal line sneaks like Tom Brady are always valuable for the same reason, though Tom Brady is just plain valuable...)

RB/WR/TE = 6 pts per rushing/receiving TD; 1 pt per 10 rushing/receiving yards; 1 pt per catch; -1 pt per fumble lost
Typical stat line = 6 catches, 89 yards, 1 TD = 6 + 8.9 + 6 = 20.9 pts // 70 yds rushing, 1 TD, 3 catches, 12 yds receiving = 7 + 6 + 3 + 1.2 = 17.2 pts

K = 1 pt per extra point; 3 pts per 10-39 yard field goal; 4 pts per 40-49 yard field goal; 5 pts per 50+ yd field goal
Typical stat line = 2 XP, 2 30-39 FG, 1 40-49 FG = 2 + 6 + 4 = 14 pts

DEF = (I'm hazy on these details) 2 pts per fumble/INT, 1 pt per sack, 1 pt per 4th down stop, 6 pts per defensive TD-- You also gain/lose points per how many points the DEF gives up.
Typical stat line = 14 pts allowed, 3 sacks, 1 int, 1 fum = 4 + 3 + 2 + 2 = 11 pts

----

Clear as mud right? Suggestions welcome.

Yeah, I know it's kind of jargon-y right now. I can try to explain anything to you that you need.

See, a kicker is a lot like the yellow ball in snooker and...

Cricket is much easier to understand. "He bowled a lovely googly, and the batsman's played it straight to silly mid on!" Easy.

Canas votes that we make sacks worth 2 points.

If we get one more person in favor, I'll make the change.
