Ooooh the hardcore don't like it when you abbreviate Doctor!

It's back on Saturday and you know what I just realised? Why the hell didn't they have David Tennant carry the Olympic flame? That would've been awesome!

Because it would have been obvious?

It was a damn shame David wasn't out there running the torch. Apparently London thinks they're too good for the Doctor. And after all he did for that whole Cyberman invasion in the 1800's.

I'm excited as hell. Matt Smith and time travelling shenanigans have been giving me something to look forward to.

It should come as a surprise to nobody that I'm totally excited. And starting off with Daleks is a good thing - the old pepperpots haven't done a whole lot since 2008 (Victory of the Daleks came across to me as more of a prelude than anything else). Time for some extermination.

But just imagine the continuity porn! In Fear Her they travelled to 2012 and the Doctor did carry the flame! It sounds like something the Moff would try to engineer in real life, but alas.

It just finished for the east coast of America. Can't speak for the other ones.

I'm pretty impressed. Can't wait for more. :D

I've seen about half the old series Dalek stories and all the new ones. I think this latest one is my favorite.

OH MY GOD THAT SEASON OPENER WAS FANTASTIC.

Honestly, the first episode of the new season and it blew away most of the other episodes from series 6. I think Moffat might be getting the hang of this whole Head Writer job after all.

Enjoyed episode 2 a lot, I get tired of endless episodes on Earth, and though this was close it featured genocide and piracy and was rather dark over all - mainly thanks to a wonderful villain. I hope human or at least emotive enemies are more common throughout. You can harp on about how this monster or that monster is brilliant but both daleks and cybermen are overbeaten dead horses (even the angels might get there soon if we're not careful), but the Master still reigns as the Doctor's best villain in the new series, and emotive humanoids will continue being the most believable and threatening bad guys.

Well next episode is cyborg space western so lets hope enough humanity is retained that we have a convincing a villain as Solomon again.

This latest episode had a lot of the fun people might have been missing despite the dark overtones of the episode's themes. I mean, it's Dinosaurs . . . on a spaceship . . . I don't think I've ever seen the Doctor have as much as he did riding that Triceratops.

So episode 3 was enjoyable.

The last last bit was predictable, but the huge moral grey area of the prior 90% of the episode was rather good.

The set kinda looked super like a set this one. XD

Anyone notice how the Doctor is becoming a little more cruel and a little less tolerant as he goes on?

Also, I discovered that if I watch it on the iView channel on my 360, I don't have to wait a week like the TV viewers. It is available on Sundays, which is UK/USA Saturday in general, which is fantastic, which I like.

That was a nice touch. Moffat is playing up that side of Tennant we saw so briefly with the Arach-whatevers.

He is becoming a bit more jaded and cruel as time goes on. It's setting his character up for the half way point of the season, when Amy and Rory step off the TARDIS. It's reminding me of Waters of Mars a little bit, the Doctor is having a harder time keeping himself in check.

What with the Dream Lord being an "evil" rendition of him and him becoming darker, we're getting the perfect setup for the Valeyard!

Pls Moffat, pls!

Of course it depends on whether he wants to retcon it to somewhere between his 11th and 12th regeneration, as Matt Smith's popularity will probably see him as a long running Doctor as Tennant was.
