Being a percussion major at University, I can wholeheartedly agree with you here. Though I'm not without an appreciation for the music that doesn't have much of one at all. :)

Agreed. I love listening to lyrics aswell. Sometimes they can transform a song completely.

Example: Eminem's newer music. of his previous stuff was fun and games, but his more recent work is about his struggles and what he did to overcome them. For me, that hits home with some family members in rehab and because I can relate to the lyrics, I find I can enjoy the song on another level.

I haven't heard much of Em's new stuff, but as for what you're talking about, this guy really hits that spot for me.

That was deep, lots of emotion. Nothing you would expect just listening to the intro, but thats what lyrics are for.

Sometimes we masquerade as adults, (with jobs and loans) but we're really immature teenagers at heart.

To my daughter, I am an adult.

To the rest of the world, I am an overgrown child.

But what I would give to be an actual child again.....

I love that everyone here isn't afraid to admit that they're a child on the inside.
I really don't like people that are so annoyed when someone likes to have a little fun by watching cartoons or playing with toys or video games. Like, get your head out of your butt. I think that's really immature because they think they're better than everyone else, but really, they're no one, just like the rest of us.

[/rant]

But yeah, I am definitely a child at heart. And that's okay, I'm going to be a first grade teacher. If anyone has a problem with it, then they can go live in their "grown-up" world over there.
Just because I like those things doesn't make me any less responsible and civil. I know how to be a grown-up when I need to be.

Leo... We've experienced both childhood AND adulthood... We are free to choose which 'hood' to be in. But you have yet to experience adulthood, and there for can really not be in a 'grown-ups' world. :)

i think the ts would be irrelevant, given we're only talking about attraction... though i suppose non-binary genders could throw a spanner into the works XD

Well then I guess you just aren't weresexual. Also, everyone can like women, just not in the relationship, attraction, sexual way.
ie. I like Stacey, she's a great friend.
