Oh pokemon anime, you have taught us so many lies...

At it looks like love can bloom on the battlefiend, at least for those Poochyena.

I just realized his lender Pokemon fits his gym theme.

And I hope you actually did research just how long of a walk it is between the towns.

Of course!

It's even faster if I hold space bar. But that's kind of cheating.

Is there a way to tell a Dustox Wurmple from a Beautifly Wurmple?

I think it's a day/night thing depending up when Silcoon evolves.

I can't help but notice the Ralts looks... unfortunate.

"Wurmple will evolve into either Silcoon or Cascoon starting at level 7 depending on its personality value. As personality values cannot be influenced by the player, what a given Wurmple will evolve into is essentially random."

Just read up on "Personality values." Why does this game have so much behind-the-scenes numbering that is needlessly complicated?

Well, each Pokémon needs a random number associated with it to tell it which gender/nature/ability to be. So they just use the number for other things, too (shininess, Spinda spots, etc.). PIDs aren't too bad.

Yeah, I was always unconvinced that big strong thugs would leave a tween alone after they lost a Pokemon battle.

I guess the idea is anyone with Pokémon still fit could in theory turn them on you, so you don't mess with them (because people have all 1 IVs and no useful resistances).

But accidentally queuing up an attack when they Bide in their first turn is the epitome of anguish.

You slip up and attack while a pokémon is biding and you better pray the next one does them in. So many close calls, so little time.

I just wish Bite was physical. One of my Poochyenas is Adamant, which would be great in fourth gen; but here it's just annoying.
