lol, the houswarming's coming up soon. I just gotta get back on my feet financially and make enough to fully decorate my house, or at least so it doesn't look like three empty rooms with some random crap here and there.

Oh, since the well of new Kinship members here on LA seems to have dried up (someone can try recruiting in the commons if you're so inclined), but we're in desperate need of some variety in our ranks. Half our kinship is made up of hunters and we only have one healer, which doesn't exactly make for the best battle strategies. Every large battle is basically on a timer because we simply can't heal ourselves to make large engagements practical.

Oh! as for my house, I have my own waterfall!

And I was also thinking it'd be a fun Kinship event if we had like a race to see who can finish the dwarf pub crawl the fastest for a prize to be determined later. If anyone's down for it, let me know when you're available and we can make a Kinship night of it!

<.< I was working on Inn League rep, actually. I don't despise hobbits.

I haven't been playing because I've been busy spending time with my husband and going to bed at a decent hour. I'm working for my dad starting Nov 1 and ending Nov 21 so...Well, I will try to get on before then since there are a couple items from the festival I would like (doormat and goblin-lawn-gnome). Of course, I also like deeding it up, even if the deeds for the festival are mostly "go into the haunted house from hell for which you need to draw your own damn map" and do not reward TP.

-sigh-

Cif, Female Human Champion. Just broke out of jail because that's all I had time to do tonight. Will grind solo to get to a decent enough level tomorrow evening after work.

And before I hear cries of "Hypocrite!!!" I am playing as a HUMAN woman, not an elf babe. So nyah.

I've started downloading the game, but I might have to do it using several network routers due to my 25 GB monthly limit. <_<

For the record, I'm happy to escort new members should they want to take on some harder level quests in order to gain more XP faster.

I'm a support fighter anyway.

If you happen to be online the same time as me, then I'll also happily help out. I'd still be in the North Shire if it wasn't for DL helping me to escort a sheep.

Bloody sheep.

Likewise - I have a second character that I made just to ensure that I obtained a premium class (warden) before I lost premium access. She ("Catia") is only about level 10, which doesn't take long to get up to. So I've barely used her. Otherwise, my main captain character ("Lenabot") is at level 30.

Does the game system make it longer to reach the next level as you get higher and higher?

Yup. Back at the beginning you're like "HO YEEEEEAH! 82 XP!" but now I'm at level 32 and I don't really look twice at 30,000 XP.

If you have an iPod or iPhone with enough space, you might be able to fit it on that. o_0

To be fair though, quests gain around 5000-7000 XP now, and averaging about 280 XP for an enemy.

If you die, would you lose all the items you have like in Runescape?

No, you keep all your stuff. The penalty for death is that your equipment gets damaged, and you must go repair it after you resurrect.

Which can be a minor cost if you just like.... fell off a cliff. Or, if you lose a major battle a few times and have upper-level equipment, it can be over 100 silver. x___x

Nope, you die and get the option to "retreat" to the nearest safe circle (respawn points located all around Middle Earth), or you get the option to "revive" which will instantly revive you in the same spot with like a quarter health. After using Revive, you have to wait another hour before you can use it again, or if you have gained Turbine Points (in game store currency), you can unlock another revive straight up. Any loot, quest items, XP, money, anything, you get to hold onto. The only thing you need to really worry about with dying is that the closest circle may be a fair way away, and also the repair costs for your equipment.

I've just made Dominic, Warden Hobbit. His surname will be Monaghan.

In other news, boy howdy it's a long way to Tinnundir up in Evendim. Must rest.

Also, I really need to clear all these fellowship quests in the North Downs as well as Weathertop finally (which I've never even attempted). Are people busy this weekend? One of the rare occurances of me being around. My defensive skills gained a huge boost at level 34 since I can reset all my skills every 15 minutes effectively doubling my two main buffs per epic bossman.

In other other news, ZENO IS MY BITCH, MITCH! :victory:

I was gonna go do that quest but was waiting for you, you damn dirty dwarf! grr*

I'm free this weekend. Had my big night last night so Saturday is open.

I also have those fellowship quests. Except that one that you and Lena did. By accident.

I've gotten 3 GB's of the thing done, but since I have that limit, I probably won't be able to start playing until late next week. :(

Finished the intro quest with the town, still only at Level 8 killing bears and sick boars. Also screwed up big time and just barely fended off the 6 angry spiders at once in that quest for the journal. I had something like 5 HP when all was said and done, so clearly my "run in going 'RARRRRR!!!!!!!' and stabbing things" strategy is going to stop working eventually. :arcee: Probably get some more done tonight after work, but I do work tomorrow so....probably not.

Tip for those who've not done it: Book 3 Chapter 5 Part 2 - do it solo. You get inspiration which bumped my HP up to NINE THOUSAND (amount not embelished for meme effect) so you can compete against signature orcs.
