Finally watched the Tales of Symphonia anime. Only 4 eps, but I guess it could be considered a segmented movie of sorts. Keeps to the game pretty well, but skips over a lot of events. Only those who have played the game would keep up with it and appreciate it. I'm excited for the Dawn of the New World part that will be released.

I'm also rewatching Record of Lodoss War for the umpteenth time... I guess the fact that the main characters resemble Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf really gets me addicted to it. Definitely cheese like many oldskool animes/cartoons, but the artwork is still gorgeous, and I still enjoy it.

And then I'm watching Fate/Stay Night on the side.... I keep starting it, then getting sidetracked, forgetting everything, and then having to start over. :<

Just finished watching season one of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle not too long ago, and want to get the second.

I was watching Claymore and Tokyo Mew Mew not too long ago.

I also watched the Tales of Phantasia OVA/anime (whatever people call it). Wanna see the Tales of Vesperia movie when that comes out, and Tales of Symphonia anime.

Hm...I can't remember how far I'd gotten, but yeah, the story does seem to get more interesting as it progresses.

I'll have to get back to it soon...

Oh boy! I got to catch up with Fullmetal!

Sadly, my source for Gundam 00 Season 2 has . . . died. Need to scour the internets.

So, as far as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is concerned, we're all caught up! That's fantastic. Now I just have to catch up on D. Gray-man, which is ultimately a far more difficult proposition. I'm on episode 20. There are 103 episodes. Then there's the issue of Bleach. I used to watch it back when it aired on Anime Central, a now defunct satellite channel. I only got up to episode 40, I think. How many Bleach episodes are there?

Then there's the issue of Rave Master. I used to watch that when it was on Cartoon Network, but of course, it stopped airing after a while. I can't even remember which episode I got up to on that particular Anime.

Yes, I have every season, both in english (except Sailorstars, which they will never do in english) and japanese (all 5 seasons). It's awesome! I much prefer to watch S and Super S in japanese. The english voice cast was horrible *shudder*

I agree wholeheartedly. Heck, Sailor Moon is the reason why I never watched anime in English if I was ever given a choice, until fairly recently when my friend introduced me to Ouran High School Host Club.

...Then again, my brother and his friends were watching the first series of Sailor Moon in Japanese (for the lulz, pretty much), and I have to say...that was rather painful, too. I think that the people making the show took the later series more seriously.

English episodes 1-65, I love in English. I don't know what happened after but it just felt as if the voice actors didn't feel like giving their all....There was a friggin long delay between episode 65 and 66+ so maybe they just lost their touch.

I remember being so excited when I found out S was finally dubbed, running to my TV the day the first episode aired, and almost wanting to hang myself as soon as I heard Serena's new voice. That was the worst voice ever and Suga BayBee (she was a radio host here) as Rini? Wow, lame.

Some Anime just can't be watched with subs.

I tried watching Hetalia: Axis Powers only to be completely overwhelmed with subtitles.

Somewhere between 200 and 30 million. Probably closer to the lower end of the scale. I only got up to 109 and that was about 150 episodes behind....back a few months ago o__o

Bleach is just one of those things you are better off reading rather than watching. It goes by a lot faster.

Yes.

Yes. Epic. Jubei is the shit.

Speaking of, has anyone seen Ninja Resurrection? I saw the first half, tricked into thinking it was the sequel to Ninja Scroll like so many others. They never said it was a sequel, they just...failed to dissuade people from thinking such for the sake of sales. And it sucked. WTF Double bonus.

i didn't like the movie. well, i liked the plot and stuff... just not the scenes where the poor girl was violently raped by different men. i actually threw away the movie. the show is still amazing. i love the historical/sci-fi feel it has.

That scene was cut out of certain versions of the movie. Specifically, any UK or Australian versions of the movie from 1995.

Wait, you're not talking about the big stone fella having his way with Kagero, the main girl, are you? Cos I know there was a dvd version that had most of that cut out, as well as where said big stone fellow is drinking the blood from an arm he just tore off a ninja.

If that's the scene you're talking about then:

1. No one actually rapes her, he just fiddles with her a bit before being stabbed in the eye. And there's only one of them.
2. Those scenes are in the version I have.
3. It wasn't censored in Australia, it's just that we got the UK version. They're the anal ones. They actually played the uncut version on television, and all that sparked was a re-rating from MA15+ to R18+

Cos that's videogames and the videogames ESRB in Australia are a bunch of fucks. There's also something to do with some 1995 act that needs to be changed before they can actually implement a R18+ rating for videogames.
