I liked Vertical Horizon when I was a kid, but I only had two songs of theirs that I listened to. After listening to the album those songs were from, I kinda wish I just kept my selection small. At least then I wouldn't think they were a sub-par band with a handful of good songs. But in that album's defense, it did make Double Platinum.

Here's a real curiosity. A double concept album about Imelda Marcos by David Byrne (the Talking Heads singer/songwriter) and Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim. You really need to hear the album in its entirety to appreciate it, but I've linked to the opening track, which features Florence out of Florence and the Machine.. Easily my favourite album of the year so far (not that there's much competition, but it really is an exceptional, and surprising album).

Mozart Piano Sonata No. 11 in A Major, K.331: III

I couldn't find the right version. Everyone plays it so differently!!!

Anyways, this is the piece that intrigued me to learn how to play the piano. And play I did. Good times. It also goes by the name 'Turkish March' if you maybe recognize it by that.

I used to play it faster than whats shown in this though. I like it better that way. Too bad I never recorded myself =\
Anyways, enjoy.

Edit: I just found this one too. More sped up. But mechanical and not as cool...but it's cool to see the fingerings played out in front of you. So intense xD

They might be pretty old, but in my opinion, Bad Religion's still one of the best punk bands around.

My friend showed me these today. And. I cannot put into words how much I like them. If you listen to the words and if you know me at all then you can imagine why. :P

[url="]

[url="]

The words to this one are kind of hard to understand, so here they are:

Salt beads on your skin
Skies yawning wide

Hear
Waves weaving wings
Ghostships and tides

I'll dive for your treasure
And keep it safe with me

Love, our pleasure
Last secret of the sea

This is an older one but still great and needs to be shared. Excuse the audio quality.

Another one I literally heard like ten minutes ago and is just plain fun was "We Didn't Warn You" by Tim Fite. You can download his entire album from his own website.

It's already a few months old but I've really come to like this one a great deal.

Karnivool's frontman Ian Kenny in his side project, Birds of Tokyo.

So, I've been recently indulging in my Julian Casablancas man-crush. His website was advertising his album as $4.99 on iTunes, so I clicked and it actually turned out to be $9.99 but I bought it anyway. Good purchase.

This was on there, obviously.
