I've been saying for years that LTTP Link was the only one who had to belong to any sort of special bloodline.

Last? The way I remember it, he was one of the last.

TP Link belongs to the hero's bloodline. Not sure if it's the same as the Knights' line, but I'll bet it is.

LTTP is the only scenario where the Cataclysm's Eve prophecy had to be invoked, therefore, LTTP Link is the only one required to be of the Knights' lineage.

TP Link belongs to the hero's bloodline. Not sure if it's the same as the Knights' line, but I'll bet it is.

More likely, he's descended from OOT Link or something. There's pretty much no way in hell TP Link is connected to the Knights' bloodline, since the Imprisoning War has to be post-TP.

Yes, but he isn't said to be the last descendant of the knights, is he?

As I remeber it, the line goes something like:
"It is ironic how one of the last descendants of the knight might turn out to be the prophesized hero".

Actually, that line is:
"It is ironic that the last one in the line has the potential to become the Hero of legend."

And the Japanese says pretty much the same thing.

It's still insinuating the Knight's line, right? Anyway, chosen by fate or related to the Knights or part of MC Link's long, twisty bloodline or a combo of all three; I guess it's up to you.

Also, going back to the OP, if there's any theory that annoys me the most, it's the Link and Zelda are related theory. While it's possible for maybe...one or two Links and Zeldas to end up together, all other Links are so far down the line I doubt they can claim any legit relation.

Weird. Must have been different in one of the versions (not that it matters, the Japanese version if the one that counts).

I think one is from the GBA and one is from the SNES version.

The only one who has to, maybe, but as I've said before it's possible that the Great Cataclysm will be started again in the future (you can never rule out the possibility of an evil one gaining the triforce) which means that the knight's bloodline has to prevail throughout every game and age against such an eventuality; and thus, since the knight's bloodline is perforce present in every game, it makes sense for the Link of the day to belong to it.

Hypothetically, yes, but Link sure has a lot of relatives, and there's no guarantee that one's reincarnations/look-alikes/whatever have to be in the same bloodline as you. For the sake of Devil's Advocate, it's not unlikely for other Links to exist parallel and apart from the Bloodline of Knights.
