Yes it took me the better part of 2 months. Shutupshutupshutupshutup. I like to savor my Zelda-playing, okay? c_c

Anyways.
Uh.

WHAT A BIG FUCKING DISAPPOINTMENT. I mean. What the hell, Nintendo? Since when is beating Ganondorf THAT FUCKING EASY? I mean, okay, his first three 'stages' were a bit of a challenge since I didn't really know what the hell I was doing but the LAST stage? The one on top of the tower? YEAH. WHAT THE FUCK. -_-

Jeez. I almost feel ripped off. I'd say the same thing about Majora's Mask but I've yet to [iactually beat it [read: beat it without the use of the Fierce Diety Mask]. Aha! Thankyou, shitass ending of Wind Waker, for reminding me to play Majora's Mask again.

Yeah. I really really hope the new Zelda game isn't going to suck. Thankfully from what I've seen, it won't. <3 At least Ganon/Ganondorf looks fucking awesome in that one. GAWD I can't wait until it comes out. ._. *grabby hands*

But yeh. I just felt like ranting. c.c *shakes fist*

I haven't played the Wind Waker, as I don't have and don't plan to get a Gamecube... but... Ganon in OoT was insanely, and almost stupidly easy too. O.o

You sound shocked. :P

Wrong forum Rova. ;)

Yeah, he was fairly easy, though I think the point of it was more the fact that you're finally dueling him, rather then just target practice like every other time you fight him.

Ugh...do you know how much I hate it when someone bashes WW?

I've already learned it's futile to convert people like you so I won't even try. But I will say this...deal with it!

WW was a great game in it's own right. Putting the ending down won't make it any better so why bother? If you hate the game so much then do us few WW fans a favor and keep it to yourself. Go play a different one. Simple as pie.

*puases*

That must have been the boldest statement I have ever done in my life...lucky you o_o

Picky picky picky.. :P

But anyways.. I dunno.. I just think the whole Zelda-shooting-him-for-you thing was insanely stupid. I WANTED TO SHOOT HIM, damnit. >:C I liked how in OoT you could actually do it yourself, y'know? x_x; But NOOOO, not in Wind Waker.. Zelda thinks you're a wussy and does it for you. WTF. ._. *still disappointed*
At least in OoT you could still do everything yourself and actually feel like YOU beat him.. Not just sitting there L-targetting him and waiting for the A button to flash. -_-;

[Edit] Uhm, Ulta, where did I ever say I hated the entire game? I actually loved it. I haven't had that much fun playing a game in a long time, and I'd sit there for hours on end playing it. I just hated how you didn't actually get to fight Ganondorf yourself. Jeez. o_o;

What, stabbing the guy in the head in a manner that would've given the game a T-rating if not for the graphics wasn't good enough? :arcee:

No, I mean like in the first part.. Where you had to L-target him and have your sword out and wait for him to come at you so the A-button would flash for you to counter his attack.. Like the Darknuts.
WHY couldn't you just go slash at him? :C

Oh, yeah, that. I kinda liked the counter attack system, which is still going to be in the next game, though I can see what you mean though.

I kinda thought you hated the whole game when you said you felt "ripped off". My apologizes >.<

I guess Nintendo wanted Zelda to actually be a part of Ganondorf's demise. If you really think about it, the WW link isn't exactly like the Oot Link (ie he's much younger and not as strong) so he couldn't exactly run head on a slash the guy to bits. I kinda liked the fact that Zelda wasn't the damsel in distress like she has been in most of the other Zelda games though.

Yeah, it was cool to have Zelda actually play a key part, but I was still disappointed that the player didn't get a bigger role in defeating the supposed big-baddie of all time, you know?

And as for the part about Link being younger and weaker.. He did sail across the entire ocean and defeat countless enemies, right? I mean.. Link isn't some random kid, he's the Hero of the game, young or not.. Plus he had the Master Sword, hm?

I dunno.. I just experienced the same disappointment as I did with Majora's Mask, feeling that there wasn't any real effort I had to put forth to beat him.. :/ But then, like I said, I'm sure it's harder without the mask. Must go try. 0_0!

But, putting all that aside.. It was pretty nifty to actually see the real Triforce for once.. :0
[Oh, and d00d! Did you guys check out the pictures of the Sages in the stained glass windows in Hyrule Castle? :3]

You can just run in and slash like hell at him... a parry alert will go on after a while, at which point you either use it or get hit. That makes it a bit more engaging. You don't even need Zelda at all except for the final blow.

I found Wind Waker a bit too easy too. I went through the entire game on my first run through without dying at all. But I still thought it was an awesome game.

The final battle may've been easy, but if you DON'T try to win and drag it out for long... then it's far more fun. XP

I loved that final battle! I think that the parrying system is what made it so fun to fight enemies in that game. :) WW may not be another OoT but it sure isn't trash.

Wow. Not much going on in your life then, huh?

Y'know l-o-s, I remember you saying on the old LA that you loved TWW, despite it's shortcomings.

This isn't a timeline forum

I liked Wind Waker... It just... was more developed personality-wise...

LttP, I mean, no one had a personality, they were all just random dudes that happened to be there -.- Talk about boring.

It's a lot like MM, where you get to peer into the lives of the people you are saving. That's what Ithink makes a great game.

I didn't like the original Zelda, and The Adventures of Link was a disappointment. A Link to the Past is by far my least favorite, but then came Link's Awakening, where you actually found out about the people involved, and that's when I because truly interested in Zelda.

OoT was ok about the personalities, but not as good as LA, then MM came out and it's my favorite due to it's people.

So, Windwaker isn't my favorite, but it's still INCREDIBLY ENTERTAINING...

I liked the final duel, mainly because I could never beat Ganondorf in the other games -.-

I think the final battle was cool. For me, the difficulty isn't the biggest thing, it's the I-factor. Immersement.

Do I feel like the character? Am I having fun? I actually remember going whoa-ho-ho! when Ganon pulled out those two honkin scythes and began to leviatate toward me. I don't feel the controller in my hands, I AM the character.

Hence why I don't like to PLAY Final Fantasy, I'd rather watch. I just don't feel like I'm GETTING the characters. Yeah, it's a nice storyline, but that whole Pokemon turn thing gets on my nerves, I want to FIGHT! And yet I like SOME Pokemon titles because I feel like I'm commanding the creatures, and that's natural.

But that's just me.

The question I'd like answered, Rova, is did you like the actual ending? You know, the drowning of Hyrule, ultimeate message comes out, King dies, all that jazz, apart from the difficulty? THAT's what I take pride in.

In the WW I demand I should use at least two fairys, two fairys! I did like Zelda helping you though. I did think it was odd when I did it, Zelda got whacked into a pool of flowing water, I swear she shoulod have drowned.

LOL. I actually LIKED the WW Zelda, er Tetra. She had spunk, but she wasn't shallow or cold. That's rare in an RPG relative.

I'm sorry, you should play Prince of Persia Sands of Time. Ganon is not such a disappointment compared to the final battle in this game (talking about rediculous).

i think they made the actual killing of ganondorf easy because figuring out HOW to do it was hard.
Unlike other enemies where you would stand around waiting for them to come near you and then get the action command, this guy was slashing the crap out of you, so of course you put your shield up! unfortunaetly that means the action-command never comes.. so.. he seems to be invincible..
then once you figure it out, he's easy.. cuz otherwise that would be -two- hard-things instead of one..
that said, the whole light-arrow thing was stupid.. i got hit with it way more than he ever did, and then he'd dodge it half the time!

You're forgetting that many game-players are hack adn slash morons, (me) who never use teh darn shield and settle for two dozen fairies or a slash parade.

Husse is probably quite right, I generally forget to use the shield and prefer to slash the enemy to bits.

i was fond of the final battle although the last time i played it i had a hard time and i actually saw the game over screen for the first time....i forgot about the action command...thats why...i loved that Zelda took part in the battle..that was cool..(even though she liked to shoot Link instead of his sheild...)
the ending itself.....meh....i mean i wanted to see some more development instead of the pirates and Link sailing off into the sunset...(notice how the boat has a dead look to it...that was kinda cool..)

Oh, I did. I just let myself hope that it would be as good as OoT or LttP. Obviously, I was dissapointed.

Still a great game though.
