One other thing I've considered: Zelda needs more blind ambushes. Remember playing OoT and having enemies jump out :scared: ? It was similar to being attacked in a horror game. Nintendo needs to reincorporate some of those "jump clear off the sofa" moments into Zelda.

Amen to that man. Those things in Ocarina of Time scared me shitless the first time I ran into them. But that just made the game all the more awesome (although I HATE Wallmasters).

You know, it'd be so badass if they were to incorporate a fighting system in a Zelda game similar to the Xbox Ninja Gaiden titles. That fighting system is sick, and it'd be so cool to see Link pull off some sweet combos on enemies. Plus it'd REALLY amp up the difficulty; Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox was one challenging mother.

And for that comment on Ganon/Ganondorf getting stale, you guys don't know what you're talking about. Without Ganon, Zelda just wouldn't be the same. He's the epitome of evil, the ultimate villain, and no matter what form he takes or when or how you face him, you always just want to do one thing: KICK HIS ASS! That's what makes him a staple of the Zelda series.

Agreed. I've heard someone saying once 'Ganon fight can only be epic so many times' when in reality, there's only been one truly 'epic' Ganon fight. And three 'epic' Ganondorf fights(one of which was immediately before Ganon), the only thing being that in two of those (TWW and TP) were pretty much the only things that the games had going for them. I'm just waiting for a truly 'epic' Zelda that far outstrips OoT. (which TP wanted to be, but just failed.)

Yeah I was talking about FF CC when I said there was an FF without turn-based combat.. I dunno about any other ones, but I really only like real-time combat XD i have to be controlling it directly.. which is why I friggin love Tales and hate that only 3 games of theirs are on nintendo systems T_T

So my steampunk idea is still being debated, huh? Cool.

Just to add to discussion, I had another idea. Remember how Square got together with Mario back in the 90's and made Super Mario RPG? What if something similar were done and a Zelda RPG were made? Now, I know you're thinking Zelda's already an RPG title, but I was thinking more in the vein of Final Fantasy.

If anything, it'd be a neat concept. You could still keep Link as a silent protagonist, like Crono was in Chrono Trigger (I love that game), but other characters would join Link to save the kingdom. Maybe even Zelda would have to be a regular character to his party, acting as your party's mage or cleric of sorts. Of course you'd need other party members, but I'm not looking into that right now. Just the initial concept.

Comment please.

This is a great idea. But I'd also like Zelda to become a 3-D RPG like KOTOR(Knights of the old Republic). Maybe someone invades Hyrule in order to distract them long enough in order resurrect the original Ganon/dorf or tries to give him a new body.
