Sure. Everyone has the option to pay before attempting to roll a double, but if you'll definitely do one or the other it would speed things up if you'll post before your go.

are we doing the free parking house rule?

ya know where all the penalty money etc. goes in the middle and the lucky fella who lands on free parking gets it?

No, I decided no house rules. Unless there's a consensus otherwise...

Maybe when nearly all property has gone. I know I'll need to go round Go a few times to build up the funds for houses, providing we're all willing to sell to each other as at this rate none of us will own a colour group.

Just a side note Showsni, "pay everyone $50" cards ARE in real Monopoly. Search for a card with a single-toothed mailman-ish person running with a paper; you'll find it in the Chance deck. (Some way or another, I'm ALWAYS the first to get that card when I'm playing Monopoly. Bah.)

Also, this is why I need to be more active on the forums. If I knew there was a Monopoly game going on, I most assuredly would've tried to join in. Oh well, maybe next time.

Yeah, I know which are real Chance/Community Chest. I played a game of Monopoly the other day - normal version. We played with the "No buying first time round," "Free Parking" and "Double Salary for landing on Go" rules, and my friend Luke had insane early luck - first go, Chance, Advance to Go. Second, Chance, Advance to Mayfair. And then he got Park Lane a few gos later... Plus he landed on Free Parking five times, getting every one elses fines. The only set I got was the brown one...

Jaina rolls double six. One is the Eye, so the Ring moves to Bill the Pony; and Jaina moves to Shelob's Lair, pays £100, and rolls again. Six and four, again with the Eye - the Ring moves to Buckleberry Ferry (flagrantly ignoring the real rules of the game. But otherwise we only get three more goes each, on average.), and Jaina to Bree, collecting £200 for passing Go.
