SSB NEEDS SOME PUZZLE GAME REPRESENATION, YO.

Lip's Stick is from Panel De Pon (Tetris Attack) and Kirby sometimes turns into a block from Tetris Attack.

Just incase you didn't know. ^^;

And a Tetris stage would just be brilliant.

I don't think it's a Tetris Attack Garbage block. Kirby has a Stone ability in Kirby's Fun Pak (Super Star in the US) and that's where it comes from. His Final Cutter move also comes from that same game too.

Where didn't it come from?

Also, yes, that would kick ass.

No, while his Stone move also shares the appearance of the block from other Kirby games (same in the original Smash Bros.), there's definitely a Panel De Pon/Tetris Attack block in there too in Melee.

And ya, I know where Final Cutter comes from. I know where almost all the character's moves come from. XP

Yes, Tetris always wins. I would play as a Tetris block. Or maybe as a random guy who can pull out Tetris blocks to use as weapons. Up+B he uses an L block as an aimed grappling hook. Side+B and he drops an S/Z spinner in front of himself to knock opponents and reflect incoming projectiles. B and he throws a T boomerang. Down+B and he turns into an O block. And he uses the I block as his main weapon. Like a combination of Kirby, Link, Ice Climbers, and Mario.

This would be so awesome.

This will never happen.

SSBM: Samus
SSBB: Samus

I'm hoping Samus can switch to the zero suit in the middle of a fight. That would make her a rediculous survival character. While there's all four character's she can keep the suit and hold guys off with missiles and charged shots and when it gets down to 1 on 1 she could drop the suit and switch to close range fighting.

I'm going to have to add Luigi to my Melee list out of his sheer awesomeness. Also Mewtwo and Ganondorf.

I think that can happen, actually, but only if you get a Super Smash Ball. You blow everyone else away, and the energy blows off the Power Suit. I think. I might've been taking the trailer too literally.

But it makes all sorts of illogical sense. ;)

I've mostly used Fox McCloud as my best SSB character, although I try to use a wide variety of characters. In SSBB I'm holding out for Miyamoto to be a character! That would be all kinds of awesome!

pfft, he'd use his fanboy attack! Rabid Miyamoto fanboys bite the ankles of those who oppose him! His jump would be Aonuma popping out from beyond to grab his wrist to pull him to safety. And of course, his signiature move; create awesome Zelda games as his standard B move. Oh yes, you know he'd pwn.

I'm holding out for Phoenix Wright. We can all dream, right?

uhhh what the heck?

heh i just had a funny thought.... There is this kid who i know (and hate) and he is disgusting and he slobbers and he has a pot belly. And he is 9 years old. He isn't mentally unstable so im not making fun of people in that condition, he is just an idiot. The worst part, he thinks he is the coolest guy on earth. Now, HIM in smash bros.........

Kid: dude what are you doing? (in an I-think-i'm-cool voice)

Smash character:
1)run away
2)launch him off the map

he could be a pokemon that comes from the pokeballs! yea!

after so many mini melee tournies in dorms after dorms i've found that marth is definitely the top in melee. either marth or fox, neither of whom i like to use.

SSB: yoshi or ness (it's unfortunate that ness was nerfed to near uselessness in melee)
SSBM: link or peach
SSBB: solid snake or meta knight?

All right. I apologize for the bump, but I didn't want to start a new topic just to report my recent change in Smash Brothers character-favoring. Now, I will play as any character. Peach is still my favorite, but among my best ranks are Mewtwo, Ganondorf, Samus, Link, Young Link, Purin, Luigi, Yoshi, and Zelda. I only came back to this topic because I have recently, for the first time in my life, been able to play against people who are at about the same skill level as myself. It was an enlightening experience, especially because my primary rival greatly favors Falco, my most hated character of all, and, I believe, the cheapest character of all.

My experience is that Fox is faster than Falco?

And yeah, mewtwo for the win.

If memory serves me correctly, Fox is faster than Falco and has a boosted up-smash, while Falco is stronger than Fox and has a boosted side-smash.

The side smash, with its power, huge range, and lack of lag time, practically makes Falco. The up smash is hardly a concern at all, given all the ways it can be evaded and overridden. I don't want to be misunderstood here, I think all the characters are cheap in their own ways. It's just that Falco may well be the cheapest.

therefore if all characters are cheap, none of them are.

Falco is cheap? That's probably explains why he was my favourite character, along with Luigi and Marth. My favourite character in the original was probably Pikachu, I played as him a lot.

The nice part about Falco and Fox is that they're not cheap unless you're playing against someone who has been tournament-trained enough to know how to use them cheaply. And even then, that goes for any character.

I suspect that I find him cheap because my strategy relies very heavily upon my opponents' lag time, which Falco lacks. It simply means, I need to develop some new strategies.

Also, must learn Bomb Jump.
