Cool. But I don't, which is why I'm asking. I want to know what your opinions on why it was the best.

Clearly not, as you don't accept it.

Wrong.

Right.

There is no way it's more imprecise than TWW's.

Wrong. TP's is more imprecise because swings are a lot slower and tend to hit other enemies than the one you are aiming at. I dunno what that is, but it isn't precise.

TWW was the most button-mashy of all the 3D Zeldas.

No, it wasn't. You need to use strategy to beat most enemies other than Bokoblins, who *gasp* don't require anything other than button mashing in TP either.

You didn't have any control over Link leaping up and doing his psuedo-spin attack.

Wrong, you lummox. He does it on the third attack, and then does a spin attack, assuming you tilt the analouge stick (yes, there is more to it than pressing a button, whether you can comperehend it or not). At least try not to make a fool out of yourself with such blatantly erroneous claims.

Even if you liked TWW's combat better, it's true that it was the least precise.

Says you, the guy whose arguments just suck.

They do it less than TWW's, I can tell you that.

I can tell you differently. And you know what? I'm the one that's right.

The shield thing is regrettable, but I didn't miss it all that much anyway.

Wow, I really care. Except I don't. Just like you evidently don't care about my reasons for not liking TP's combat as much as I could have (despite you claiming differently).

The fact that it gave us a chance for the shield shove made me fine with it.

That is completely irrelevant.

And the parries and the hidden skills were very, very different. With the parries, all you had to do was wait for the enemies to swing their weapons(which happened every five minutes)

Which is exactly the same as the hidden skills because, like it or not, if you do it at the wrong moment (that is, most of the time), it won't work.

and then you could use the insta-kill button to take them out.

No, you couldn't. Because there was no such button.

Seriously, I would like it, just for once, if I was conversing with a person that knew what the fuck he was talking about...

...No. That's it. To hell with this shit! I'm not wasting my time on idiots like you. One last thing, though: “Even the most adamant TP lovers agree that TP's aiming is crap.” See, I can make baseless statements that make me look like an idiot, too!

Ugh, I get the message.

Discussing video game storyline with you guys isn't fun anymore; it used to be great but all you do now is continually attack me and my methods as "conceited, flawed and incorrect". I'll never understand how trying to bring new ideas to the table can spark off such a negative response - some of you seriously need to chill out (bet I'm not the first person to tell you that).

When you drive a regular out of the thread, does that actually bring you some temporary form of gratification? Pity.

Ricky, the feeling is like an orgy in my mouth. But seriously, if you're still even reading this topic, let me redeem that Cluepon for you and break this down for you: *ahem*

The First Rule of Timeline Club: We don't talk about Timeline Cub.

Wait a minute, that's not right. Oh, stupid me... wrong list!

The First Rule of Timeline Club: We love discussing stuff. Really we do. But we love discussing stuff only when you told TELL people they're stupid for believing something different.

Now you'll probably start going all Phoenix Wright on us, start raising your arm, and uttering the first few letters of the word "objection," but no, you started it first. At that point, the Golden Rule takes over, and your wish becomes our command.

We were having a damn fun time here prior to your arrival. We're still having a damn fun time. You just don't find our party a sexy one, and so you're going to take your ball and go home. Personally, I'm glad that the drag on our party figured it out on his own, and personally, I have the "good riddance" mindset. However, we still have plenty of balls (of the non-sicko type, you pervos), and we're going to play with em to our hearts' contents. If you want to come and play by our rules, hey, I have no problem with that. Don't play by the rules, and sarcasm shall follow in numbers that you cannot possibly count.

You've yet to tell me what it is better about it.

Wrong. TP's is more imprecise because swings are a lot slower and tend to hit other enemies than the one you are aiming at. I dunno what that is, but it isn't precise.

That never once happened to me. I always hit the right enemies, even when fighting the bigger ones, such as Darknuts and Dinalfos.

No, it wasn't. You need to use strategy to beat most enemies other than Bokoblins, who *gasp* don't require anything other than button mashing in TP either.

Such as? You can kill anything in TWW by swinging your sword, this is basically the same in TP, but don't act like TWW has any strategy involved.

Wrong, you lummox. He does it on the third attack, and then does a spin attack, assuming you tilt the analouge stick (yes, there is more to it than pressing a button, whether you can comperehend it or not). At least try not to make a fool out of yourself with such blatantly erroneous claims.

And you look like a dumbass who can't handle people with a difference of opinion. You love searching for anyone who has a slightly different opinion and just insulting them until they get sick of you. But I hate to break it to you, but no one cares what you think. If I stop arguing with you it's only because you have a tendency to wear people down with your constant insults.

Says you, the guy whose arguments just suck.

Oh yeah? I thought we were discussing our OPINIONS on the games. Not ARGUING. You can't "prove to me" that I like TWW better because I, in fact, didn't.

I can tell you differently. And you know what? I'm the one that's right.

Why, because you talk down to me? I've got news for you, being insulting and acting pissed all the time about every little thing doesn't make you right. Again, it's my fucking opinion. You don't have to have the same one, but it's not wrong.

Wow, I really care. Except I don't

Oooohh, I see what you did there!

Just like you evidently don't care about my reasons for liking TWW's combat (despite saying differently).

You've yet to give your reasons for liking it, all you've realy done is insult people and state shit as fact.

That is completely irrelevant.

Except it's not, because the shield shove took the place of manually putting your shield up.

Which is exactly the same as the hidden skills because, like it or not, if you do it at the wrong moment (that is, most of the time), it won't work.

Ummmm, no, the hidden skills could be done far more frequently than the parry. The parry only works when the game tells you to while the hidden skills do not. You can use everything but the Finisher and Great Spin whenever you want to.

No, you couldn't. Because there was no such button.

Yeah, you can. With many enemies, you don't even have to move. You can stand around and wait for the parry.

Seriously, I would like it, just for once, if I was conversing with a person that knew what the fuck he was talking about...

Okay, fall back on your foolish blather about how I don't know what I'm talking about. I know you think people will agree with you more if you insult everyone who disagrees with you, but they won't. Sorry. Most of this "conversation" has involved me stating my opinion(as well as Fyxe) and you insulting me and bitching about how I don't know what I'm talking about. You look like a damn fool, never backing up your argument and instead insulting whoever disagrees with you.

...No. That's it. To hell with this shit! I'm not wasting my time on idiots like you. One last thing, though: “Even the most adamant TP lovers agree that TP's aiming is crap.” See, I can make baseless statements that make me look like an idiot, too!

It's not baseless when I've seen many reviews that say exactly that. You really oughta change your attitude, because you're acting like a damn child. Not everyone who has a difference of opinion is an idiot, though it's pretty obvious that you actually are. Stop taking a damn game so seriously and calling me out about every fucking thing I say. It's really annoying.

Okay, stop. Everyone. This thread has just degenerated into pointless bickering. What's it even meant to be about? How Ganon's wound stopped glowing in TP, apparently. Not the virtues of leet speak, or which 3D game has the best combat, or which version of teh game is most canon. Now I know we always get sidetracked, but when you're just getting sidetracked into insulting each other I think the thread's gone too far. Since it's lost all its original intent, I'm closing it. If you want to discuss the relative merits of TP combat vesus TWW or what have you, start a new thread, and try to be civil.
