They're to long and intimidating. Like War and Peace.

*whispers* I'm reading that as soon as I finish Les Mis.

*blank stare* Do you seriously think I can read French?

And I suppose you expect me to read War and Peace in Russian?

;) I wish I was that good.

War & Peace was a beast. I read it in Middle School since we had a program where the mor you read, the bigger prizes you could get from the points you accumulated. While I was able to answer 15 out of 20 questions on the book (enough to get some credit) all I really remember from it today is the bit where they drink vodka while sitting on a window.

Oh, and the sniper.

Heh, yeah, I normally do that. Which is why I knocked out Eragon, Eldest, and Beyond Band of Brothers this summer while working pretty much a full time job, and spending time with the family.

I also put more of a dent in Les Miserables, but Hugo is ADD and can't stay on subject, which doesn't help me...

But anyway, back on subject. As for non-LOTR gods, I just don't like the Greek gods because they're so... high school drama, heh. I'm more fond of the mortals in Greek Mythology... like Daedalus.

My God, man, are you so right. Though I must say, I'm reading it and so far it's depressing me. Fantine didn't get to see her wittle Cosette. And I hate Javert (yet delight in knowing his demise)

Combining both topics at once in a single statement: i would have to say Javert is my favourite God.

I heard a song based on War and Peace. It's over twenty minutes long.

Les Mis rocks everything. I'm not particularly fond of what I've heard from the musical, but the book is teh pwnage. No, it's not a happy book, like most of Dickens is, but that's what makes it awesome.
