Considering it's close to release in Japan, I'm actually going to start avoiding most new information now. I don't want any spoilers.

Wow, I was just simply amazed.

Some stats are crazy for...people returning and stuff... wow.

Well, so far so good, still not as good as the GBA ones in my opinion. I'm already pretty far in this one, gonna go beat it, and keep it spoiler free and wait until the US version comes to discuss it.

I'm already not too thrilled by the idea of third tier promotions unless they do more than besides jacking stats over 30. Its only going to lead to some heavy imbalance.

Also [img]http://forums.legendsalliance.com/public/ALOT.png[/img] of the characters who seem to have cropped up in FE10 had unfinished unit data in FE9 which only furthers the idea that they rushed FE9. One of them I even realize appeared in a early build of FE9 before being cancelled.

That doesn't necessarily mean they rushed anything. If they rushed it, then surely that character would still be in the final game? They decided, obviously, to leave the character until the sequel.

Don't get me wrong, I think there are *some* elements of PoR that are somewhat rushed. I have high hopes that those elements will be fixed in this new game though, since they don't have to spend all their time designing the graphic/game engine and making sure the game as a whole doesn't alienate us dumb westerners.

I'd like to believe that but fact is even IntelS themselves in a interview said FE9 was only 60% complete when released, I think they just recently admitted it in a FE10 interview. Also theres two matters to consider.

1) 15th Anniversary of FE, they were trying to coincide with it.
2) Their promise of 1 FE a year they made back in 2002/3 ish, FE9 was delayed a year since they had to remake it due to some negative opinions. FE8 didn't show up till AFTER FE9 but was released before and by a different group, probably to fill the year gap. I get the feeling FE10 was the one intended for the 15th anniversary if FE9 did go through.

Also if you look back at some of the early screens of FE9, you'd notice Leonardo was actually in a few.

I'm not sure if 45 is the exact number (can't recall it off the top of my head), but it's definitely in that ballpark. And a ton of characters are already known, although I don't think that anybody's sure of every single one yet. Apparently, this will be quite a large game.

I wonder if that includes alternate routes through the game, ala Sacred Stones. After all, there is two main characters. But then, with two class changes... Who knows. Either way, I'm very very impatient for the game now. XP

50 characters but more than two thirds of them are all FE9 returnees.

Its not even a sequel...its like..."We'll release FE9 in two separate parts to get more money from our fans who would do anything for a "new" FE game."

Sorry to revive this thread, but:

Upon finishing the game, it made me feel like I wasted my money buying FE9 because most everything you did in that game has no effect or what so ever in this game.

WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THE REVIVING?! It makes me feel like it was useless playing through FE9 in the first place!

Wait, technically you didn't say if the Black Knight was still *alive* or not. At least you didn't reveal that.

But the fact that his identity is revealed, and how to reveal it, THAT is the spoiler. Please be more careful. Some people, like myself, like to go into a game with just the official trailers/previews and little else.

Last I checked nobody even said who he was or if he is even within the game, only that a very old plot point which should've been done in the last game is addressed. Its not even unlocked or anything, its just there.
