Come ooooon, some of you must have got a Wii today. What's the 411? Word is circulating that ExciteTruck and Red Steel are both crap.

I got mine at midnight and played it for 4 hours before it clicked I should get some sleep. Then later I picked up some more stuff.
So right now, I have two sets of Remote/Nunchuku controllers, so I can do minimum multiplayer. I own Twilight Princess, Red Steel, and have rented Excite Truck.

I do not think Red Steel is that bad. There's a bit of a learning curve to figure out just the right way to hold the controller(s), but it is good past that. I wish the sword fights were more polished, as slashing feels a little slow. The graphics are not terribly remarkable. However, the actual gameplay made me care less whither there was much eye candy. I kind of like how you can hear the gun reload from the controller's speaker.

Why? Have you played it and think its the biggest piece of c*** you ever laid your hands on? If that is the case, why not tell us? I would actually love to know peoples opinions on it, since i can't really get it right now.

I'm trying to get myself a non-crappy TV first. I have to hook up my current systems using a freakin' VCR that doesn't even work anymore, so....yeah. Upgrade the TV, then I'll work on the Wii.

I never really got a console at its launch. I'm still waiting for the possible defect units to pass, yes i know its Nintendo but you never really know..... I'm probably going to get it for Christmas, it would be a nice only gift... and a weight of my families shoulders, since i never really want anything and they just keep all day long poisoning my mind about it :P. Why do they complain? I wonder.......

I'm a little tired now, after an 8+ hour wait at Wal-Mart I finally got to come home with my Wii and Twilight Princess. I played till about 4:00 A.M. Having a lot of fun with TP. Wii sports gets old pretty fast. I'm holding out for reviews on most other games right now.

To be honest, Twilight Princess is not blowing me away yet. But I am enjoying the hell out of it. Shaping up to be a great game.

I pretty much had no choice but to pre-order seeing as there was only a limited amount brought over here to "gauge the reaction" first. I usually wait a bit til the hype has died down.

got it this morning. But it was my gf's birthday today, so I did the honorable thing and enjoyed her company and went out with her. Now, I've got it set up, and I've played a bit of Wii Sports and set up a better "mii", but I still haven't touched Zelda. Will report back

It is nice, and TP is even nicer. I also spent some time at a Wal-Mart. Fortunately for me it wasn't all day. They handed out 30 "line holders" to the 30 of us that were there at noon on Saturday, and told us to be back at midnight to get them. We all were. It was funny to see the other people waiting in line beside us, hoping one of us would drop out so they could have one. Not something I'm looking forward to doing again though.

Not me! Going to wait until there's a good game coming out until I even consider it. Can't exactly shell out $250+ for something I'll play with a few hours each week; I'm a very casual gamer.

I have Twilight Princess but unfortunately I can't play it until Christmas... But Wii Sports and Super Monkey Ball are fun. ^^ I think it will be even more fun if I can get more people to play with since I've only played with my sister so far. And of course, all of my Mii's are boys that look like girls. XD I hope more channels become available soon, and more things to buy in the shop, because there isn't much there right now.

You were told in multiple threads that the game had been delayed until some time in 2007. Stop asking the same question.

Ok, I finally got a chance to play the Wii, and I'm very impressed! Wii Sports is very fun (though I suck at bowling), and ExciteTruck does not suck, it take a little getting used to, and crashing is fun.
I also got Twilight Princess, which make me very happy, and it rules!!! I thought at first that it would be akward to play a Zelda game with the Wii controls, but I slid into the control scheme easily, and its actually pretty fun! You know how in the previous games, you can't move forward freely when you swing the sword? Not with the Wii! You can run around on a sword swinging rampage all you want!!! :D

Ahem, I was NOT told MP3:C was delayed, I was just asking the same question a lot because no one was giving me an answer.

I just didn't think it was delayed; I thought I saw it as a launch title on the site... dammit! My mom won't let me get both MP3:C AND TP!

Right now I'm hooked on Excite Truck. Great game and mechanics, although I fear it will be very short.

Only played thirty minutes of Twilight Princess. Can't really comment.

Wii Sports is a great way to train yourself with the Wii-Mote. Wii Boxing has me hooked, I hope Nintendo makes a full fledged Punchout Wii game. That'd totally keep me in shape.

Red Steel is still in the plastic. I'll probably play it after class tomorrow.
