She quickly glanced at Kitsune. "What!? I meant for the night. But she can join our quest if she interested."

"What?! ...Um" He turned to Lena. "I didnt say anything, I meant for the night! ^^;... Yeah!"

...This is awkard...

She only giggled

[Mystic Kitsune]

"Keh! I meant, I mean she meant, I...just forget it." Kitsune said as he walked over and took the seat he had before he was tossed out.

"Gabriel, are you going come back or what?"

[Gabe Puratekuta]

"In a minute. I want to hear her answer first."

Ayden cursed to himself. ^I knew I should have followed them to wherever we're staying before shopping.^

As soon as they had arrived, Ayden had opted to avoid the tavern and instead get much needed clothes. His were torn and tattered from ages of neglect. He was now wearing a baggy pair of black pants, a white tunic, and a white overcoat with a black lining. Apparently there had been some inflation to the money he had locked away for a century.

He knew the sun was setting behind the storm clouds as he continued his search. His sword was sheathed at his side and got little notice. That big sword Ken had, must have been attracting attention. Ayden smirked at the thought.

Hours later Ayden strolled into a tavern that he hoped was the right one. He paid for lodging by himself, and decided he'd search the tavern in the morning and hope the others didn't leave him.

OOC- Sorry if I messed something up. It's 3:47 AM, there are drunk people in my apartment... and I just kind of skimmed. *sigh*

Finally decided to stay calm, eh? Gabriel thought, sensing Kitsune behind her. There's hope for you yet. "Miss Lena, perhaps you would like to join us?"

"I wouldn't mind".She said, after finishing the glass of water, she paid the woman who gave her the glass a couple of gold coins and slid off of the barstool.

She then walked over with Gabriel over to Kitsune. She quickly glanced at the man with tattered clothes who entered the room, and then sat down with them.

Ken gave a nod to Ayden and Lena, munching on some mildly tough rolls.

He took notice of the clothes Ayden had bought. They looked really good, and were an improvement over what he had earlier.

"Very nice, Ayden." the boy complimented.

Ken then felt one of the natural urges of life and got off his seat, repositioning his sword.

"Excuse me for a few moments."

He did not take too long, and was in and out of the bathroom very quickly. The smell was not very desirable anyway.

Ken was on his way back to his table when someone called to himform a nearby table-

"Heyyouuu."

Ken turned to see a man, maybe in his late thirties, holding a pint and was not standing with great stability.

"Yeh ah'm tolking ta youuuuu." the man continued in a very slurred speech.

"Is there soemthing you want?" Ken asked.

"Ya mus dink yurr SOOO great, carrin' the huge sward aroond, doncha' punk?" the man continued on, shaking his pint.

"... What?"

"Weil ah'll teach YOU a thin or two abou bein' a mahn."

The other finished off his pint, and in a quite drunken fashion, raised up both his fists. He punched Ken a few times in the chest. Rather weakly.

"Hehehe... dat's waht choo get..."

Ken sighed, and pushed back the drunk with one hand. Ken continued back to his table, shaking his head as the drunk lost his balance.

Kitsune was just laughing at the sad drunkard who tried to attack Ken. He was used to these happenings, be he still never got tired of how people act when theyre drunk.


He noticed Lena came to the table, and already knew she accepted Gabriel's request. He then saw Ayden...

Him? From the woods? He remembered very vaguley.

Not giving it a second thought, he turned back to Ken.

"You have any idea what time it is? Maybe you humans should go get some sleep..."

Ayden was glad to have found Ken. He nodded in aknowledgment of Ken's compliment, and again as he excused himself from the table.

It was slightly awkward as they sat at the table. Ayden suddenly realized how little he knew about everyone there. Ken, he felt close to through the silver wolf, but the others... Ayden suddenly wondered why he HAD wanted to find them.

Ayden watched cautiously at the confrontation between the drunkard and Ken as he returned. The half-demon, Kitsune Ayden thought unsure of the name but excepting it nonetheless, started to mention them going to sleep, but Ayden stood quickly and without response, slipping past Ken. In one quick movement, Ayden grabbed the wrist of the drunkard, twisted it, and forced the mans arms in an awkward position.

As if on que, everyone staring at Ayden and his "random attack", the man yelped and dropped a dagger he had pulled from his boot. Once the dagger fell, now stuck in the floor, Ayden released the man's hand, but put an arm around his shoulder. "Let me buy you one last drink sir."

Ayden gave a slight nod to Ken and led the man back to the bar, intending to buy him something to sober him up a bit.

"Huh?" Kitsune said as Ayden attacked the drunkard.

"Keh...someone really needs to get some sleep..." Kitsune said while watching Ayden lead the man back to the bar...

Noticing he was sitting like a dog on the table to get a better view of Ayden's little attack. Kitsune noticed the awkwardness of how unnatural he looked right now.

He slipped back into his chair, glad nobody noticed it.

Damn these awkward moments...demonic senses! Keh! They can cause so much trouble...

"Kitsune..." said a voice.

"...no...not that bastard..."

He noticed his sword started speaking to him again...

"...its been to long, Kitsune."

"...Keh! You can speak again. Well listen, Im changed now, damn sword. Now shut up already." Said Kitsune as he tossed another seal Gabriel had given him long ago onto the sword.

Silence.

That sword. It seems to become more resistent to a seal the more it wakes up...

[Ken the Wandering Soul]

Ken gave slight nod back to ayden, saying thanks before taking his seat at the table.

"That was one unfortunate event dodged..." he muttered to himself.

He took a look outside the door.

"It is getting rather late, it would be wise to get to bed soon."

Ken then noticed Kitsune talking as though to nobody. However he caught enough of what he said to realize what was happening...

The boy stared at the Sword of Illusions. He never heard it speak, and he felt relieved for that. He was worried about some of the other's being corrupted, and it seemed that the sword was requiring more seals to be silenced. Kitsune, while not being the fine example of a moral figure, was not a degenerate--he was a good person. He did not want anything bad to happen to him...

"Kitsune," Ken spoke up, "If you want, I'll hold onto the sword for awhile."

Ayden returned minutes later to hear Ken talking about taking the sword from Kitsune for awhile. Having his own inner demon, Ayden understood the trouble Kitsune must have been having.

Shaking his head, Ayden smiled kindly. "I think it IS time to sleep. I shall see you all in the morning." He again nodded to Ken and Kitsune before leaving.

Once in his room, he barred the door then took off the over coat before laying ontop of the sheets. It had been awhile since he slept in a bed. Ayden enjoyed the feel he had long forgotten. He then untied the sword and rested it against the bed post. It wasn't long before he was asleep.

[Steel Samurai]

Steel slipped into the tavern just as Ayden left. Disguised as a peasant who had come into the city to sell his surplus crops, he sat down at the bar and ordered a mug of ale. He had taken a ship from the Forsaken Fortress to Resden, left the city and re entered it disguised. One of the party, besides the one he was interested in, looked familiar. Where had he seen that peson before . . . No matter. He had a mission to complete, and then he must be out of this town before someone saw through his disguise. Not many would remember him, but anyone who did would likely not want him back.

Kitsune was a bit hesitant at Ken's offer...

"I need this blade...at least until, I can get the kaze-dao..." He then noticed that the whole crew was searching for the blade.

Realizing that he would probably not end up with a newer sword, he handed the sword over to Ken.

"Ken. Take these seals. If the sword starts talking, shut the thing up." Kitsune said.

He noticed it was only Ayden who left...

"Keh! Fine, dont complain though when youre totally exhausted tommarow due to lack of sleep..."

Kitsune was leaving when he noticed the scent of someone new in the bar.

Smells like...the sea? He looked around a bit, then couldnt be bothered to continue. He went outside and just sat there staring at the moon.

Half moon...great.

[Ken the Wandering Soul]

Ken took the sword and seals, glad that Kitsune wold trust him. With Ayden having gone up and Kitsune going outside, Ken decided he might as well go to bed.

Taking his leave, he started heading to his room and only stopped for a moment to take a look at someone who had walked in. There was something distinct about him, something that reminded Ken of the somone important... The boy shook it off, continuing on.

Ken walked into the small room, taking both swords off of his person. Undid the leather bits and upper body clothes, sitting himself on the bed. He pulled out a jar from the folds of cloth looking it over. It was the mushroom he had been sent for. It was one of few errands the boy would occasionally run for the Forbidden Fortress.

Ken felt partially lucky to be one of the pirates. The seas were large, and the pirates a great influence. He remembered when he was captured on a boat by the pirates a couple of years ago. He was one of few people left alive, and stayed alive by offering his skills in weapons forging and tempering. He was allowed to live and keep his belongings as long as he did not try anything funny. Eventually, he was branded as a pirate of the Forbidden Fortress.

Ken looked over the fungus in the bottle. What was this supposed to be for?

The boy put the bottle away, deciding it would be best to sleep, and not think about. He uttered of thanks to the Silver Wolf, and went to sleep after awhile.

...sunlight.

It had been a few hours ever since he left. He could see the faint traces of light coming from beyond the horizon.

Maybe Ill let them rest a bit more...Keh! Cant have humans slowing me down! Kitsune thought to reassure himself.

... Why is it that I travel with them anyway? Something keeps me from running away to find the blade on my own...but...this damn half human heart...somethings wrong...

It finally was morning. The sun's rays cut through the partially opened blinds and into the face of Lena's. She turned over in her sleep, the sun shining on her face, and mumbled quietly. She was sleeping on the daybed that came with the room, a thin satin sheet for a blanket.

She couldn't really remember what had hapened the night before, other than the drunk man comming in, and all the other events that had hapened the night before. The last thing that she could remember before she fell asleep was that she was talking to Gabriel and Kitsune in their room for the night and...she must have crashed there. Oh well, I have to get up sooner or later.

[Gabe Puratekuta]

"Finally, you're awake." A young, azure-haired man said to Lena as he handed her a mug of coffee. "I didn't know which room you were staying in, so I brought you to mine. Hope you don't mind." He smiled as the light lamented his silver eyes. Then he noticed her surprised look. "Don't worry. Nothing like that happened." He then looked at the sleeping maiden in his bed. "Usually I'd sleep there while my daughter took the bed. You know, to guard her from bandits. "But since you were here too, I slept on the floor."

[Mystic Kitsune]

The sun was now high in the sky. Kitsune was tired of waiting around outside, after all, he had spent the night outside just waiting for Gabriel to come out.

But, Gabriel didnt come out...

So, he went back in, and roamed the halls wondering where Gabriel could have gone.

"Gabriel! ...GABRIEL!" He yelled as he moved up and down the halls.

A couple of other people who were staying were wondering what the heck Kitsune was doing sniffing the floor, although he was tracking Gabriel with his sense of smell, he seemed to be not getting anywhere.

Huh? The scent changed slightly...

"Dammit! Whyd this place have to be so big! There are to many places to look!" Kitsune said.

A very unpleasent man started swearing so many words at Kitsune for waking him up, more than even Kitsune knew, the man was also asking for a fight. He recieved a punch to the side of his face which put him back to sleep.

"Keh! He was all talk!" Kitsune said searching the mans room. He came across nothing.

I guess Ill just continue... Kitsune said as he moved to the next room to search...

THe man noticed Kitsune, sniffing the hall outside the room. "Heh, great timing! I was just about to call you." He then pulled the half-demon inside


[Sorry, I couldn't think of anything else....]

"Wha?" Said Kitsune when he was randomly pulled into the room.

"Huh?" Kitsune said as he looked around the room. He saw Motoko still asleep, and Lena, who was on the other bed...

"Kisama! What have you done to them?!" Kitsune said as he started to growl...

Then he noticed the scent, and stopped with a really confused look...

"Gabriel?! I thought you were a woman!" Kitsune said in a really confused tone...

[Gabe Puratekuta]

"Yeah, well....." Herubbed the back of his neck. "....my curse allows me to turn into a woman. But I really needed a warm bath." He then thought for a moment. "Hm, I guess I forgot to mention my curse to you, huh. Well, I guess that doesn't matter right now." Gabriel laughed a bit, then became serious. "But we'll need a boat to continue on from here. Legend states that the Kaze-Dao is in a secret underwater cave. Now I've compared the legends to a more recent map and the cave is directly under the Forbidden Fortress."

[Mystic Kitsune]

"...oh..." Kitsune said. Then he whispered "What about Motoko?" he said eyeing her suspicously.

"The Forbidden Fortress? Keh, I heard that place was deserted after the last war! This should be easy!" Kitsune said walking back to the door.

"We should ask Ken about it, after all, I could smell the sea in him. Lets see if he may have a boat or connections to a boat..."

[Gabe Puratekuta]

"Good idea. (Oh, and Motoko doesn't have a curse. I haven't even told her about the spring that gave me mine yet.)"

[~Light Goddess~]

"So that's why you're aura was unique among the others..."She said quietly. Wondering what they were talking about, she turned over to look at Kitsune.

"Half-Demon, what is the Kaze-Dao?"She asked and then walked into the other room to change out of her nightgown (or slip, whatever you'd call it)

[Mystic Kitsune]

"Good. Id expect a...*ahem* father to tell her, I mean his daughter things like that. You still need to explain where she came from dammit! You keep-" He was cut off by the words "Half Demon"

Kitsune glared at Lena... "Whatd you say?!" Before he continued, Gabriel shut him up.

"Keh, well if you must know, it is a great sword wielded by a great demon, and I need a replacement anyhow. It can slay tons of enemies. Sounds intresting, eh?"

"We really need it to stop the mythical Bake-Dao from ever escaping from Hell and returning to our realm." He then glanced at Motoko. "We already have the Kami-Dao with us."

"My apologies Kitsune, I didn't mean to offend you," She said comming back into the room. She then strapped on the small dagger she carried just in case around her upper right leg.

"Is there anything else that we're going to need before we make it into the Forsaken Fortress? I have a bit of money from my journies that can be put useful then to jingle around with me. But if you're going against demons, they're my specialty." She said, a grin forming on her face, her eyes shining brightly against the morning sun.

"But of course I mean by demons who are far from being saved, or ones that I've got to meet personally, and can see that there's still good on the inside."

[Gabe Puratekuta]

"We'll probably run into some along th--" Suddenly, the scar on Gabriel's neck started to resonate. It can't be....!! He's here!!! ".....the way......."
