Xeres remained quiet, letting her powers quietly decrease in intensity. The night was gone, and there was food in front of her. After Goose's tale, she took a moment to thank the captain for her efforts.

"It was..." She paused, not really sure of how to describe what she'd just consumed. "...Food. Thank you."

With that, she retreated back into herself, pausing only to take a slight note at her growing distaste of the fish. He was arrogant, and it was beginning to bother her. She shook her head and decided it wasn't of any great importance.

Selena quickly downed what food Rhiannon offered, hoping to swallow it fast enough to where she wouldn't have to taste it for more than a split second. Well, it was a little better than last time. So there was hope that she could improve with practice. That was better than nothing, at least. After that, she took a swig of water from her canteen and stood up, ending the fish's somewhat awkward massage, ready to get moving.

But the others needed their time to eat and drink as well. No fair to them to just charge out of the Woods like that. So Selena waited. Impatiently, somewhat, holding her spear in her arms, resting her head against the leather case that was tightly wrapped around it. Her feet tapped impatiently, and her eyes eventually moved to the other member of the group that had dared to try Rhiannon's cooking.

She slinked over, behind Xeres, not saying anything for a moment. She'd gone through a bit of a moodswing lately. From tolerating to perhaps even enjoying their presence, to returning to that standoffish behavior of hers. Maybe the bigger group was more intimidating than when it had just been her, Selena and Rhiannon. Away from the others, Selena dropped her head down and smiled.

"You've not been in a good mood lately. Well, acting more like your older self, anyway. Care to tell your consul what the problem is?" Selena spoke. "You were making such good progress in socialization. You passed the test of not killing Rhia in her sleep, after all."

Shiima stumbled out of her bedding, bleary-eyed and barely awake. "Oh what i wouldn't give for another 5 mins" she grumbled before yawning. "Nearly ate my head with that one." Rubbing her eyes she made her way to the food, following her stomache more than anything. Taking a bit and eating it without ever laying her eyes on it, Shiima felt a bit better. "So... whats the battle plan today? I'm so sick of these woods i'm ready to burn them down."

Xeres lifted her head, responding to the fact she was being addressed. It was a rarity, after all. She paused, considering if the consul was even being sincere, and shrugged nonchalantly.

"It is not anything that should concern you. I perform my duties, and I have no desire to maim or kill any of our group. I do not need to like anyone I work with..."

She looked at the Zora, and sneered under her hood.

"And I most certainly do not like everyone. I do my work, and I will continue to do my work... Regardless of how useful you consider my services."

Looking at Selena, she paused and sighed softly, allowing her brisk mannerisms to cease for the moment.

"Your concern is duly noted, though. My disquiet is... More obvious than I'd like to admit. I apologize if it is becoming an issue."

Looking the consul over, she noticed the spear and its case.

"...I assume you have safely emerged from that other side of 'crazy' you were on... And the weapon isn't influencing you at the moment."

Thinking about the properties of the weapon, she allowed herself to smile slightly.

"Though, all that 'primal instinct'... Could be a shame... Unless... With the fish... Quite."

The mental images conjured up by that aside were enough, and she left that tangent eagerly.

"Regardless.... Thank you."

Selena smiled. "The weapon is always influencing me. Though not quite as much since we're away from potential battle and it's wrapped up. Primal instincts and urges, well... certainly. But not with the fish, no."

She stretched back up to her full height, once again examining the movement of the rest of her motley crew. They were pretty much all accounted for now. They could finally move out and head straight to Resden, Selena's objectives no less than to wipe out the Alliance's hold on the nation, forcing it to descend into rebellion and independence. Though liberating the populace was most certainly not her motive.

She had followed Xeres' gaze, though, straight to the fish, and she found herself chuckling. "Not a fan of seafood, then, are you? I certainly hope you're not jealous of him because of his unnatural affections to his beautiful and sadistic sister. But I'll keep your distaste in mind."

But with the group ready, and Xeres seemingly recovered from much of her downtrodden behavior, it was time to get things moving again. They were going to lose daylight if they kept up with this leisurely camping. So she moved to stand in front of them all, holding her encased weapon in both her hands, the woman as calm and collected as she usually was when not in battle.

"It's time for us to get moving, and start the final phase of this operation before we head home to Ikana. The spear has been recovered before Khuffie could get his hands on. The Woods have been scouted out, and I must say, I'm almost disappointed in the lack of activity. Now, it's time to head to Resden. A few days south of here."

"Resden is, of course, the capital. The small outpost here was nothing compared to the military centers we'll see there. It would be suicide to directly assault them. All missions will be carried out in the dead of night, most likely in small, independent teams. We will eliminate Alliance officers, covertly do away with military outposts, and ultimately give the Sornaiid natives their chance to rebel after putting the country into a state of disarray. Doesn't that sound like fun?"

She chuckled to herself. Yes, destruction was always fun. "Is everyone ready, then? In good health and good spirits, despite recent events?"

"On the road again, I just cant wait to get on the road again.." Goose didn't know where that song came from, but it just seemed to fit on this occasion. That reminded Goose of something he wished to purchase from the next City, a guitar, or a lute, or a stringed instrument. He was a bard by trade, and he loved to make music.

Ahh, he'd follow where Lena took him. He probabaly wouldn't be doing much of the assasin work in the city, but he'd find out info from the barkeeps, and the drunks. The drunks were quite a good source, as they let their guard down.

As he was walking, he practiced his juggling skills, he needed to get back into form, because, afterall, he was the best bard around. Oh and he'd have to cast that spell that made him look human again, because a see through bard in the city is a hungry bard.
