[Steel Samurai]

after looking back a few pages, I was shocked to see no Bleach threads. I know JrPomazon and GJskywalker watch it, but besides them and I, is there anyone else? It's currently my fav anime (naruto having gone to the dogs . . . literally in some cases)

i have read a Bleach manga preview in Shonen Jump and i enjoyed it thoroly and i live in the US and i have not seen any sort of bleach anime on TV at all so im curious as to why?? but if i do see it im sure id enjoy it as i did the manga

I own and have read 1-3 of the manga. I am tempted to look into the anime after some time..but since I started in the manga I am going to probably buy what is out of that..because of budget reasons i havent had the money to buy any more then what i have XD well..and the fact I only started collecting it in January I believe. I do really enjoy it..

I like this part in the Arrancar arc, with Ichigo nearing the end of his training with the Vizards. I'm waiting to see how strong he gets, but I'm more interested in what it is that the Vizards want.

I'm more interested right now in what Aizen wants with Orihime, the latest chapter had Urahara passing her off as weak. But Aizen seems very interested as do the Vaizard's about her ability to pass through barriers and her healing ability.

It was only recently licensed, chances are it'll soon start airing. However the manga has been released for a very long time now in English.

It doesn't make much sense till you actually read/watch it but here goes......

Its about a boy named Ichigo who can see ghosts, one day when a evil spirit called a 'Hollow' attacks, a Deathgod (like a japanese equivilent of a Grim Reaper, a personification of death) spirit appears but is injured and Ichigo becomes a temporary substitute Deathgod.

However as time goes on and events go on and he helps spirits pass onto the next life he starts to see the origins of the Deathgods and things become more complicated.

Its pretty much your standard Shounen series with some exceptional plot twists and lots of fighting between with evil spirits and ghost samarai.

I heart Bleach. I've only watched the anime as of yet and have thought about reading the manga for some time. Perhaps I'll pick it up sometime.

Chik's boyfriend is a HUGE fan of it..and he was hinting that the manga isnt as good as the anime >.> but I dunno..he would probably say the same of the naruto XD

personally, I would agree that that's the case in any anime vs. manga debate, (except rurouni kenshin, and a couple parts in the naruto manga) where they're following the same story. I didn't actually know that the bountou series was filler.

That explains quite a bit, although personally I think the series is getting back to its roots with regards to the filler, after Ichigo vs. the Nekoyoukai, the series seemed to stort going downhill slightly. Then there was that annoying filler arc that introduced the new modsouls, which reminded me of the Naruto filler. ANd then came the Bountou arc, which, although interesting, didn't induce any *wow* moments until the ichigo vs renji playfight. Then I was like . . . Heck yes, back to the roots. Ichigo has regained his innate freaking awesomeness. Time will tell whether we keep that.

In any case, I highly recommend it for anyone who likes the older Naruto episodes.

Thing is it isn't, mainly because although the anime follows kinda close, it leaves out [img]http://forums.legendsalliance.com/public/ALOT.png[/img] of stuff from the manga even going as far as to completely remove a very early hint of a future enemy. That and Bleach series recently went into a filler arc until the manga finishes its current arc and it really drags on. Its nowhere near as bad as the Naruto fillers but still sub-par.

I love Bleach. I haven't read the manga but having 1-60 last week and also am enjoying aspects of the Bount (?) arc at the moment. I love the story, characters (Ichigo is badass like I said before) and the battles.

Renji getting caught trying to steal rice and other Shinigami Cup Golden moments are just priceless though.

completely, and I mean completely, different, save for the fact that they both involve, to varying degrees, fighting. The quality of the art is about the same, and the styles are similar. Watch a few episodes to see whether you like it or not. It's not for everyone.

Bleach is cool. I haven't seen the anime, and I have only read the first two volumes of the manga.

I've only heard good things of it. I'm considering buying the manga volume by volume (which I need to do with something, I'm new manga-less now) but I'm concerned with the overall tone. Is it too serious, without any humor at all? Does it have too many plotline, too straight-foward, or a good mix? Teeeell me.

In my eyes, it's a perfect mix, but it might not be suited to everyone. It basically consists of little "asides". For example, Rukia will be explaining something fairly essential to the plotline to ichigo, and then she illustrates it with a drawing. Ichigo will then make some snide comment about the art, and will end up with a few lumps, but otherwise unaffected, and the explanation will continue. (heck, how did I make something so funny sound so boring) But yeah, parts of it are really funny. My advice, go for it 14.

Just saw Episode 82. Freaking awesome. An unusually good filler arc the bountou is.

The hollow-ichigo cfomes out while he's fighting an enhanced version of the metal Doll . . . been a while since we've seen him . . . Ichigo rocks the house as normal

Saw it as well. That episode was great, I really like the mod-souls personalities. And Ichigo, well, everyone should know not to piss him off!

It's just been to long since we saw resolve ichigo do some serious damage.

It felt like they completely half assed Hollow Ichigo though ._.

He didn't have his awesome golden glowing eyes.

And what's with the mask taking up more of his face? Foreshadowing perhaps? (Although I know the hollow within Ichigo and his power over it is the main focus of the arc in the Bleach manga).
