Then again, that relies on our assumption that they're mammals. birds and other things do their chromosomes entirely differently.

If this is what the female Gerudos do in order to reproduce and stuff....I'm guessing that maybe the Gorons also do the same thing......(Run for your...Virginity, Ladies!)

Just what I was thinking.No, it is possible for females to reproduce without males, but it is not possible for males to reproduce with out females.
Maybe they reproduce like the Graboids (watch "Tremors", anyone?) and hoch their young out of their mouths once they get big enough. If it's true and I see it happen, keep away from the restroom!! I'll be puking 'til the cows come home!!
