Welcome to the new Zelda games thread! Here's how it works: nominate a game to be played on the forums, featuring Zelda - like Zelda word association, for example. Then we vote on them, and play them in this thread for a week at a time - then next week play the one with fewer votes, and so on. If it's something like a quiz we can keep an overall scoreboard and a weekly scoreboard, or something... Anyway, nominate.

Zelda RPG...pick an army, you can name a character if you want, and let the war of the world begin! (Actual rules will only be added if this gets chosen.)

Okay... Two nominations and five votes. Pretty feeble effort really... Do only five people come in this forum any more?

We need to sneak to the rest of the site and kidnap people.

Anyways... Zelda RPG has been chosen. How about we run it for a week or so, then switch to something else for a week, then go back again?

Well, we'll need rules. Suggestions?

Would another thread for a trivia quiz work?

It just appeals to me that we can all test each anothers' knowledge of things Zelda and who really is a Zelda academic! (couldn't think of another name)

It'll also keep my brain active during the winter :D

Y'know, the time it normally shuts down? (This guy has not known the perils of high school in a while or something...)

All right, originally, I thought of splitting up the races into seven groups, (Hylian, Sheikah, Goron, Zora, Gerudo, Kokiri, Monsters/Animals) but I dunno, I think that grouping poses problems. Should we make this a good vs. evil clash or an all-out battle royal? Story doesn't matter at all, mind you.

Sure, but it's got to have some rules. I thought the system we ad before for a while was okay... See http://forums.legend...ight=zelda quiz

Hmm... I'll put it to a vote.

We've had free-for-alls before, and they die off fairly easy. I vote leaderboard.

Nah Husse, it's just that when I think of the winter, I think of the holidays so I just don't use my head at college much, I'm in 'holiday mode'.

for the RPG, i say make teams (good vs evil, or any other thing that seems to work) and just have an all-out war. We (as in eah of us) can be the general for the army, or tribe/race, that we have chosen. And we just...fight! with some rules, of course...

Interesting, interesting indeed...Well then, I go for leadership board as well, but what about asking a question, if you get one right, I don't think the forums did that before. Also I believe whoever is ruling this challenge, may I advise to make questions a little harder. You know a real competition with old-time Nintendo players, would be great. A web site competition, yes I can see it now... I went a bit overboard there. Anyways think about it.

My brain, she cramps from the run-on sentences...

So then, should we have one race for each player? And then divide the races between good and evil?

............

In that case, we would have to establish the number of players beforehand, unless we just want to create leaders for each race and have everyone that joins afterward serve under them...

And then I went to university and forgot this thread, or something... Okay. So, I don't know how the RPG would work, but we can certainly start doing a Zelda Trivia here.

Rules:
1. There will be up to ten questions available for answering at any time. Any one may add new questions, but there can be no more than ten total.
2. Each question has a score, based on how difficult the setter thinks it is, between 1 and 5.
3. You may answer up to two questions. Then wait for the person who set them to tell you if you're right or not. You can only have a maximum of two outstanding answers.

Questions. (I'll add five to start off with, of varying difficulties...

1. Which miniboss is best described as a boxer? (2 points)
2. What job do Maple and Syrup do? (1 point)
3. Who comes from Moria? (4 points)
4. What is Aveil's profession? (3 points)
5. What has Shikashi loved since he was a child? (3 points)
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

Feel free to play anytime.

Hm, let's try a shot.

1. Which miniboss is best described as a boxer?
- Blaino. I've seen him box in Link's Awakening and Oracle of Seasons.

2. What job do Maple and Syrup do?
- Syrup brews magic potions that fully restore health, and also makes bombchus. Maple's job as an apprentice witch is to fly around in her broom and gather ingredients for Syrup.

- Pol's Voice, because it's the only one of those that doesn't appear in AoL

5. What defect does Molblin have?
- One 'L' too much, I guess :)
