It's a theory I'm fond of too, and explains why Ganon wasn't at liberty even in the Dark World in ALttP.
What's Davo's problem with it?

Well I don't see the problem with it. It works just fine, and Davo is the one who brought up buttloads of quotes to support it XD 'Sides, even with all the new games, it fixes SO many questions, like the History for TWW and LTTP, for instance, or why Zelda isn't fleeing the castle in the ending.

I guess it depends on if you think the seal on Gannon lasted over time when link went back. I think that it didn't, and in the ending of oot, link is telling zelda to be ready because ganon is coming. this time gannon doesnt take over hyrule and he is sealed. :s: but that means that gannon didnt get the triforce and its still in the sacred realm so that doesnt work... oh well, maybe we'll never know the whole truth, but it sure is fun to think about it
