You mean the fairies that are redder and larger than the pink ones? They can't be caught, they replenish all of your health and as far as I know the only place you can get them is by hitting a butterfly with a stick outside Hyrule Castle as a child.

Usually all you have to do is play the Song of Storms in a place where Navi turns green. You can't catch them in a bottle. In addition to those spots, I think you can also get one by playing the Song of Storms (or maybe Zelda's Lullaby) in front of a Gossip Stone.

I think playing a song (I forgot which one) in front of the gossip stones gives you regular faries.

well, i can tell you that they replenish all your health AND magic. and that one can be found by playing the song of storms right next to the big stick that's sticking out of Death mountian Trail. and the gosip stone thing, those are normal faries...

I just found out that playing Zelda's Lullaby to gossip stones gives you a normal fairy and playing the Song of Storms to a gossip stone gives you a red fairy.

There's one in the tomb where you get the Sun's Song, by some bones. Play the Sun's Song and it will appear.

There are some others, Navi shows you where they are. I think there's one next to the deep pool in the Lost Woods that leads to Zora's River.

I don't know why you say they're red, they're still pink like the normal ones, just bigger.

The Nintendo Power Players guide calls them red fairies. I think thats where the name came from.
