I like the red fadeout on the sides of this banner. ^_^ It is a. neat effect. I like how you have the two heros in the middle with their fiends to the sides corresponding to their games. It is good that you distinguished the enemies in the red portion of the fadeout, and the heros with their normal colors in the middle, signifying their roles as leaders. Some tips for future banners is to have some sort of border on it. A double, single, or any kind of border at all can truly add a lot to a banner. Another tip is to check out some free font downloading sites out there, like dafont.com, to download unique and eye-catching fonts for the use of banners. Color usage of fonts should be looked at, so they flow with the banner. Perhaps try using a red font, or a color font that goes along with the other colors of the banner itself.

If you'd like a full working version of Photoshop 7 I could give you a little under the table dealing. If that doesn't interest you, there's also a big range of Photoshop plugins that will give you some neat effects.

And as for Elements, is that all they are? The most basic elements of the program? Cos I noticed there is a Premiere Elements too.

Don't discuss "under-the-table" dealings publically here. It's against the rules.

Our school uses Premiere, Premiere Elements and PS Elements. PSE is almost the same, but prettier and a lot simpler (BIG PICTURES and demos everywhere) and missing a lot of filters and the brushes available in the drop down list on regular PS.

A tip? Right click the layer your text is on choose "Blending Otions", and give it either a white drop shadow with zero distance and a larger spread or a glow of some sort.

A nice effect that of people do is to create copies of all your layers, then flatten the copies so you've got a flat image, and highlight your text, then go to the flattened layer, and copy that selection, paste it, then put an outer glow on it. Keep your opacity level at about 50 or 60 and bump up your size and spread-o-meters to give it a nice fade off effect. As for the colour, I wouldn't use red, because red and blue tend not to blend as well as of other colours, so try going for maybe a darker maroon, or even try to match up with the white in your banner and use something lighter. If you go lighter, then the default outer glow colour might suit, maybe make it a tad darker.

On the layers menu, right click the layer you want to apply blending options to.

No in the actual layers tab itself. Where all your layers are, that's what he means. You can also double click a layer and it'll take you to blending options.

Go to Window > Layers, and it'll open the tab for you if its not already open. How have you been switching between your layers if your layers tab isnt open?

Wow. You should get in the habit of constantly making new layers. That way you can constantly delete, edit and apply effects to selective bits. Also, consider getting a photobucket, so you have somewhere online where all your pics are stored.
