Serious answer based on a scientific article I read:
Well, there wouldn't be tides for one. Those species dependent on the tides would die off. The moving of the tides tends to slow down the Earth, so a day on Earth would be far shorter. Winds would be far greater. Taller species will have difficulties not being blown over. We'd end up with short squat species.

Silly answer: Bits of cheese will rain down on the Earth, so cheese prices will go down. Unfortunately, the cheese will be burnt from entering the Earth's atmosphere.
