Time to revive this topic. It's basically self-explanatory. What do you guys think should be done to improve the Zelda game.

I dunno about you, but something should do about the money. I always end up filthy rich with more rupees than I know what to do with, especially what with all the free hand outs. Man, wouldn't it be great to be Link, huh? Everytime you go on a quest you start off dirt poor but end up filthy rich in the end and capable of buying Hyrule Castle!

Which makes me wonder why Link doesn't bribe his way to the top with all that money he gets. Guess he's too morale for that, huh?

Guess then I'll just have to settle being a rich Link with no way to spend all that money.

That's right, sexy bishounen. I guess seeing as Catterick said he would vote for all of them except 4, 5 and 6, he's all for sexy bishounen or in other words, sexy guys. Mm... bishounen... drools...

Sexha bishounen and sexah bishoujo are joke options, BTW. Bishoujo, just in case you don't know are pretty girls.

I like all of those things, but in particular i love changing link's appearance.. it gives the illusion of having more than one character to play ^_^ like in MM. plus customization.

I like both the weapons and armor with different attributes idea. All the other stuff would be rather helpful too, however.

Vet, you say, 8 dungeons Min, but whasnt MM big wnough for you, its not the number of Dungeons, but how good they are. tWW had bad dungeons, and there wernt many of them either, the next one whould have BETTER dungeons, I don't care if there are more or not!

i love dungeons-that-aren't-supposed-to-be, so to speak. things like the bottom of the well, the pirates' fortress, castle ikana.. dungeons not for their own sake, but for the sake of being something else.

I would like perhaps in the new Zelda that you could use a lance instead of a sword, and that you do more damage when you charge someone on horse back.

I love the fact that Majora's Mask had dungeons that weren't levels. There should be so much more to that, it's not even funny. I wish there was something mixing that with WW, where you went to one screen, awakened the sage... to open a level that was on the complete other side of the map. I loved that, except it would be better on dry land, but let's not go there.

...Do you know how many times I did the first level of the Savage Labyrinth in WW?
for the rupees.... too many times....

I like the fact that you could upgrade up to 99 arrows and bombs... But I think it should have been way harder.... Like, taking some inspiration from the Magic fairy in WW...only you'd have to kill... so many darknuts or something.

After I beat OoT... I went around to see what would happen if I shot various things with the bow and arrow, bombs, etc, so that I could run back to Kakariko and buy more... only... I ended up being full again by the time I got there.

Another plus for Zelda is cleavage.

Lets see... I want more old school stuff in there. Like, doing that mirror room in the earth temple, to find that it just gives you a treasure chest with 20 rupees in it, but you just need to shoot an eye switch, or push a block to open the door.

The return of the Cane of Somaria would be nice. As well as something similar to the Magic Cape, only you're just invisible, and it uses up magic a lot. Then, for newbies, or whatever, you could walk around a Darknut and hit him, and he wouldn't know you were there... And it can't work in boss rooms.

I don't know what was meant by 'story based items that you get for free' so I'll just assume that it means the Nayru's Pearl...? Yeah, none of that now... That is a sure fire way to make me turn off the game for being so dumb.

And something like the Skull Woods in LttP would be cool... multiple entrances... having to revisit the Overworld several times.... That would be so awesome.

I like the the games in every way, difficulty isn't really a factor with me in this type of laid-back experience, so....BRING ON THE HOT MEN! Have you SEEN Zelda trailer for GCN? Ohhh...my.... :o_o:

Ew, no. I agree, we mustn't have her look androgynous. There's already a Nintendo character out there where we don't quite know what its gender is.

Ooh, then you can have Metal Gear Solid/Sam Fisher style levels. Cool.

What I meant was story-based weapons that you get for free. I mean, all your weapons, you get for free and they're always related to the game or story whatsoever. We want a larger range of weapons! We want to be able to buy all sorts of big ass weapons to play with, lances, axes, different kinds of bows and armours...

Wario's a guy. Hate to break that to ya, but it's true.

I wouldn't go overboard with all these weapons. Link's traditionally a swordsman and bowman. He's more for getting new tools than new weapons. Think to yourself - how would a battleaxe double as a good tool?

Though lance I could see in horseback mode.

I can't believe someone suggested added MORE stealth-based levels to Zelda. Those are always the worst part of whatever game they're in.

And yes, new weapons should top out with a spear or lance for horseback.

I want the return of a MM-style time system, rather than time freezing when in a town, and the return of the BOMBER NOTEBOOK!

The Bombers Secret Society of Justice forever!

The only thing that really needs to be fixed is the difficulty. If the game was hard enough to justify having up to four fairies that completely refill your life, that would be awesome. As far as the money goes, just look at WW. Sure, they gave you deep pockets, but even those would only go so far to decode the triforce maps. You definately have to go search for money in that one.

Other things, such as new weapons/armor, would be neat, but at the same time would sort of change the whole pace of the game. I mean, Link is a sword and sheild kinda guy. It would be awesome if you started fighting more tooth and nail, you know, throwing in some kicks and sheild bashes.

[edit]oh, and excuse me while I post my avatar and sigpic...

A shield bash move would definitely make sense for the game. Hitting R brings up the shield anyway, all they'd have to do is add force to it if you're right next to an enemy. It'd make a decent stun movie.

Vet. isn't supposed to be quality over quantity anyway?

Somebody actually liked my lance idea?

I agree with a shield bash, it could be like the parry ttack in the windwaker, and acts as a more powerful, close range, boomerang attack perhaps.

More harder levels would be better as WW surely did not achieve that, at least 8 dungeons with quite tricky puzzles would certainly prove a challenge to me so please at least EIGHT! That was the biggest downside to the WW lets not screw this new one up now but from the pictures I have seen from the new GC Zelda it looks impressive enough and hope to boost in difficulty compared to previous titles

I've got an idea! Every single Palace or Temple or Ruins should be a dungeon! Every single one! Houses of rich people should also be a dungeon. Caves should be dungeons! Everything should be dungeons!

There should be a Zora's Domain sort of place, but it would actually look like a real city where real Zoras live and it'd be inside like OoT Zora's Domain, and there'd be hidden passages everywhere and puzzles everywhere!

Let's turn the entire place into a Resident Evil style set-up with puzzles everywhere!

...Or maybe not.

Ganondorf better be in the game and I hope that they give some more background and history on him. I hope that the plot is as good as it was in WW or OoT. Lots of detail and effort should be put into making the plot, like the Baldur's Gate II games and Neverwinter Nights (personally, I think that BGII had the best plot of any video game I've ever played).
And it needs some romance between Link and Zelda.

Who said THAT was a good thing? I always thought Link deeply loved Zelda like a sister, but I always pictured him ending up with Malon or something.
