I've seen him, he looks nothing like Link, and it seems odd they would reference a cartoon that's so obscure anyway. But whatever.

I might like to add that he also plays the ocarina in one episode. Oh and his girlfriend looks like a browny-haired OoT Zelda.

Xandir is a combinataion of generic video game male heroes, one of them being Link...
He's a mix of Link and Final Fantasy, but he also has had "extra lives" and collected "gold rings" like Sonic the Hedgehog.
