EA: All I can tell you is that the Gorons won't be the Gorons from the Ocarina of Time.

What would you do? Agree and place it as HF and AOL and take them out of the timeline, or ignore what they say and put it somwhere else, i have very little faith in my rash idea, but i'd like to see what effect it has on the community.

Great! The Gorons have always had the warrior trait about them so I hope we will see more of that. They have so far been portrayed in games as rather peaceful, but I guess it is unwise to anger a Goron.

That is exactly what I originally thought it would be until I was told about it being a WW sequal. Now that that is finished, I wouldn't be suprised if this game follows Links father in the fierce wars and introduces Ganon for when he first emerges as a king. Maybe at the end, instead of Ganon being trapped or killed, he simply swears alegence to the King of Hyrule (ala early OoT). Still, I dont know how likely that would be. Hmmmmmmmm. Would make such a cool game though. I can see it now, a Malon like character with 2 sons, Talon and Ingo as kids. Oh, just remembered, the game already features an Ingo like charachter. Maybe he could be the dad? Just grasping at straws here.Maybe it's ... pre OoT and the Fierce Wars are going on between the races of Hyrule...

I'd rather like this to be a TMC prequel.

And feature Link's mom and dad dropping him off in the Kokiri forest whilst Link Sr. protects the world from some Sheikah person? That would be cool.
We know Sheikahs and Gorons are in it. Both evil, perhaps?

Yes, that would be great, but as you say, that wouldn't actually be a sequel.
Perhaps this is the Imprisoning War, as ALttP comes after WW, OoT wasn't really much of an Imprisoning War, in Hyrule Adventure Ganon was sealed in a sword and not the Golden War... then again, the Master Sword wasn't forged after WW but before OoT... unless there are two Master Swords!
All of this just goes to prove my hunch that there is no real single timeline and that the only reason you can see a real single timeline is because the guys at Nintendo are trying the best to make Zelda fans happy but failing miserably at it.

This has happened with both TWW (sorta) and even more so with FSA, Satan and Nintendo's lovechild. Seriously, ever since Miyamoto left, the series has been declining dramticly, timeline-wise and everything else-wise.
Although, I could be just paranoid and when Arouma says "I don't know where this game takes place" he was lying and he knows exactl where this takes place and will please all of us. Anyone else notice whenever game designers are being vague that they have a secret we don't learn about until E3 or something like it? 'Cause that's happened.

Disprove time! ^^ the gorons in MC (they can be seen after a series of fusing kinstones, and they don't fight you, infact, they just break a wall FOR you, kinda nice of them really. These new ones were no where near nice, so being after MC has very little chance of happening. (oh yeah, there was also a traveling merchant-type goron as well, and he doesn't fight, so, ha!It must go in my secret place for it, which I will now make known: after TMC.

I don't think they are sticking to the sequal thing anymore.Yes, that would be great, but as you say, that wouldn't actually be a sequel.
Pre-WW: WW will be before all other Zelda games
WW: Set after OoT
Pre-Z05: Will be WW2
Now: We haven't decided
Z05: ??? (Could be anything)
Come to think of it, WW was supposed to be a prequal of all games but was a sequal to the last game. This was supposed to be a sequal to the last game, so maybe it's a prequal to all games

Actually, I think I'll make a thread on this, as it's OT to this one.

Actually, Pre-WW: WW will happen near the beginning.Pre-WW: WW will be before all other Zelda games
WW: Set after OoT
After WW: Set after OOT, before every other Zelda released up to that point besides MM.
There isn't any contradiction.
And, actually...Pre-Z05: Will be WW2
Now: We haven't decided
Z05: ??? (Could be anything)
Now: We haven't decided the ending.
And I don't see how this news about the Goron proves that this game isn't related to WW. :s: At this point, I'm not expecting a direct sequel anymore, however, that has nothing to do with this information about the Gorons.

No. I'm pretty sure they said WW was originally going to be before all other Zelda games. If I remember correctly, Miyamoto said it would be nice to have a new start or something along those lines (though I might be wrong).Actually, Pre-WW: WW will happen near the beginning.
After WW: Set after OOT, before every other Zelda released up to that point besides MM.
There isn't any contradiction.
And, actually...
Now: We haven't decided the ending.
Again. No. They have very recently said that they do not intend to disclose when the game is set, and then said that they haven't decided for sure. Read up on your articles. If I had more time I would provide quotes but I'm busy so do your own research.

Evil Gorons? Yay. Loz/Aol placement seems likely.
An LoZ/AoL placement would make me a very happy lad. Not Gorons from OOT also helps prove its not OOT Link, which makes me even happier.
