Don't you remember? Dr. Light's primary change for the X-series was immidiate castration.

I used to, but now I have the Grass form with "set grass" program and undershirt. So That makes me absolutely indestrucable until you get rid of the grass. ^^

(We're talking about MMBN:3)

My favorite MM games are Mega Man 2 and Mega Man X1. As for favorite series, it's tough...I think I'll give it to the original series, just because most of the MM games I've played are originals.

It surprises me to see that there are people here who still love the NES Megaman games. I liked the newer ones better because of improvements and new features compared to the old one.

I thought Dr. Wily was gone when I started playing the Megaman X series but surprisingly, he had a legacy. That strange virus from Zero must be in Sigma, so that means Wily's still making trouble 100 years later. ;)

I only ever played the original series, and that was a long time ago. I still love them, my favorite being Megaman2. They were all challenging games and never failed to please which is why that series was so popular.

I've not even heard of most of these new megaman games. Is there a website with details on them all? I'm interested in taking a look.

Marty, I suggest you to go to Mega Man homepage. It is the best resourse for everything Mega Man. ;)

And if you didn't know yet, you can play all of those classic Mega Man game from Mega Man 1-8 in the Mega Man Anniversary Collection (for Gamecube and PS2) that released in US just a few month ago. I strongly recommend you to get the PS2 version if you have a PS2. Trust me, you will thank me later. ;)

Battle Network was to be most favorite. MMBN1 was fun, but you can tell it was a first for Capcom. MMBN 2&3 were the best, replacing armor with the 'Style' system. MMBN4 kinda went downhill by making the game practically nothing by a story connected by tournements, and the Soul system royally sucks.

I also liked the original series. Thank you CAPCOM for releasing Anniversery Collection! I like to play Power Fighters 2 with a friend of mine on occasion.

I have the same thought as you do.

My favorite is Battle Network 2, I found BN4 not as fun as it used to be.

And I doubt BN5 will be any better than BN4... :S
But I don't know, we will just have to wait and see....

There's Battle Network 5 coming out? I didn't know but I'm eager to hear of its coming.

I'm still playing Battle Network 4 and I haven't gotten very far yet (I'm lazy, I guess). My favorite is Battle Network 3 because I like its graphics. The only drawback is that the game can sometimes be hard.

Yeah, they are relasing 2 version of BN5. Rockman EXE 5: Team of Blues and Rockman EXE 5: Team of Colonel. Both schedule to release sometime in spring of 2005 in Japan. Which mean we might have to wait till Summer or Fall to get it in US. <_<

You can view the offical website here.

Taking from Planet-Megaman.com
"The report claims the difference in teams being the major difference of both games, as they bring out both different battle styles and different ways of advancing the story. Aside from yourself, each team is made up of six Navis, each with a specific purpose in the team. There's the leader Navi, support Navi, brain (info) Navi, defense Navi, attack Navi and reconnaisance Navi.

In Team of Blues, Blues (naturally) is the leader. He of course battles skillfully with his sword, though it may be his only special attribute. Medi, an all new recovery-type Navi, is the support Navi. When someone in the team is hurt you can turn to Medi. In battle she can also confuse enemies and use support attacks. Searchman from the recent EXE 4 is the brain Navi. He of course still retains the power of his sniping gun arm, and he can also hidden enemies and traps. Magnetman takes the role of defense Navi. he has magnetic powers and he can protect anything with his powerful body. Napalmman is the attack Navi, and aptly so. Being able to fire missiles from all over his bodies, he can turn the field into a sea of flames. Finally, another all new Navi, Gyroman, is the reconnaisance Navi. He is the first Navi in history to be able to transform into something else. Naturally this transformation is of a helicopter, which is useful in times of reconnaisance duty.

The later to release Team of Colonel puts entirely different Navis behind the team roles. Saying he is the same as Blues might be correct, as this team leader is said to have other abilities. Toadman acts as support Navi. Despite his apperance he can trifle with enemies with his fast movements. Numberman of course is top choice for brain Navi. He can inspect thigns with his powerful brain, and he may have new attacks this time around. The large Knightman is the defense Navi. He is an intense and strong Navi who can fiercely swing around his wrecking ball. The attack Navi is the all new Tomahawkman. Not only can he tear apart enemies with his large axe, but obstacles as well. Finally, Shadowman takes role as reconnaisance Navi. An assassin of the cyber world; just like a ninja he will approach and obliterate enemies."

This does sound interesting. I'm not exact sure if I like the idea.
Guess I have to play it to find out. ;)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

They already raped the Blue Bomber......

Just watch NT Warrior....the music, voices and editting was horrendous....

Not only did they give both Lan and Megaman a Surfer dude voice nothing like the kid Lan and soft voice of the helpful Rockman....

But they also cut nearly a third of the episodes of the series out and butchered the remaining two thirds to ridiculous extent....changed the entire soundtrack as well.

That was just teh first series....now they have their grubby mits on the second series Axess I'm scared badly..

If you are already scared of their "great" editing job on upcoming Axess.

Well, look forward to the upcoming "One Piece" by 4kids. :deadlink:

No....basically Axess is the name of the sequel series of the MM Battle Network anime.

4Kids did a horrible job on the dubbing of the first series and word is they're doing the Axess series too...

Oh and for people who've played Megaman Zero3 I noticed a MASSIVE cameo in the final battle of a certain legacy and no I'm not talking about the boss...I'm talking about a certain something in the background.

Dr. Wily.

Even after death 200 years back from the setting of Megaman Zero, he's still making trouble around in Earth. And if Dr. Light's masterpiece has disappeared at that time, Wily's own masterpiece is ruining his plans.

Pfft... It hasn't even come out in Europe yet and there's no release date. I hate it when we get screwed over.

Megaman Zero 3 has only just come out this month. I'll be getting it soon. The Zero series rocks, although I personally don't think Wily is still alive.
