At around the same time you get the letter from anju to deliver to Kafei in the stockpot inn. I've tried and these two events cannot take place in the same three day period, yet the results of both are shown in the end sequence. This cannot occur if Link is simply resetting time, since he couldn't possibly do both quests within the same three day period.
It requires a convergence of two or more realities in which he did both quests.

Actually, I would just have assumed that when Majora's Wrath was defeated, Kafei transformed back to normal and married Anju as planned, with no help from Link.

Perhaps, but seeing that part of the ending sequence is triggered by having done the Anju/Kafei quest, IIRC.
Regardless of all else, seeing it means you did the quest.

The full ending shows the old couple from the mask shop, and the wedding celebration, which means that Link has caused both events to occur within the same timeline.

Well, maybe Link traveled back in time, so that Two Links were running around, one you control, and the other repeating your actions in a 3 day lag. Then after you defeat Majora, the second, phantom Link goes poof? Since he logically can't exist anymore >.>

I don't think that we're supposed to worry about it.

I think there would be some evidence of a second, or multiple link running around if that were the creator's intentions.

I agree with Chaltab on this. I think certain events such as Anju and Kafeis wedding would happen because the problems caused by the Mask had been reverted. Hence, it may be possible for Link to do the precise key events without doing everything, and still everything ends up perfect. If someone has time, maybe they could verify this?

One frame?

Anyway, I disagree with what Chaltab thinks about the Kafei-Anju wedding. I think all the 3 day periods converged after Majora was defeated.

So how do they converge? e.g. if an event happened 5 times with one guy dying, and 5 times with the same guy surviving, will he be dead or alive and why?

I like to go with a "it's a gameplay device" excuse. The three time periods did not converge, all the things do happen within the three days, but Nintendo decided it would be confusing to have eighty Links running around while you're playing the game.

Havent you ever watched an anime?

Anyway. It would be fairly easy to explain the Kafei-Anju thing. She would like to marry him anyway despite his lack of having his mask, and the fact that it's there could indicate Sakon had a change of heart. I dunno. Most of the probelms the people had, as said before were caused by Majora mucking with people's lives. So by extension when his evil magic dissapears, so do the the things he messed up, such as the monsters in the temple, the poison in the swamp, the ice on the mountain, ect.
