I don't know. Someone should check with one of the Admins or Mods first. Till then all those that support this petition should add the link to it on their signature. We can get some people interested that way.

This should be posted everywhere.

And that's awesome that a DS card is that big. I didn't have any clue of how much bigger they were.

OK. I'm glad we have your support, Real. I might start a new topic, but where - Zelda Gen, Gaming Gen or the Commons?

It belongs in the Zelda section. Post it there.

And don't post it anywhere else.

should Nintendo make some innovations in an OoTDS, i'd be willing to buy, once i have a DS (which may be a few years... chik isn't the only one without cash :( ) .

Innovations being more than giving me a map on the upper screen though. Something along the lines of letting me have multiplayer OoT combat, using First Person perspective more, using the mic for songs and the like. Touch targeting even in swordplay. You catch my drift, stuff that would really set them up for the next real game- a testing ground using the classic favorite as fodder. Find what works and what doesn't.

Something you're ignoring: Aren't they making Metroid Prime and OoT into scrolling adventures for the SP? I KNOW, no proof, but read Nintendo Power, the article's in the latest issue.

I've read that NP, and I have no idea what you're talking about.

He means EGM. There is an article like that in EGM.

Oy. I'll have to ask that guy who loaned me the magazine. There were screenshots of OoT, Link walking into the Deku Tree, only in a top-down, LttP style.

How about an RPG that utilizes the wireless ability of the DS, and set the game in the time when Link wasn't there to help Hyrule in the apparent space between OoT and TWW? This way, the players could play not Link, but their OWN character, similar, yet different, from him.

They could then take on Ganon's minions in combat, or even better, allow the players to choose who they want to ally with.

Now THAT sounds like an interesting storyline to me. What about you all?

Um...isn't Link already your "OWN character?" That's why he doesn't talk and stuff, because he's just an avatar. You're supposed to be the hero.

Well, yeah, but for the sake of everyone looking alike, I was thinking about having different avatars. Make it kinda like an MMORPG, which would be even cooler. 'Link' up with the DS and play that online, or just get 10 friends together and play... sounds like a lot of fun to me.

That was a screenshot from OoT2D, a fan project by somebody (Nintendo got his site shut down for copyright, as he was getting donations as profit). Of course, most people have by now figured out that most of his "screenshots" were fake and that the "project" was mostly a scam, perhaps with an afterthought of finishing it.

And, by the way, I've read that EGM and they weren't talking about actual games coming out for consoles, they were talking about fan-made PC versions of 3D console games.

that would be kinda cool to have OoT in the palm of my hand, but I don't have a NDS yet because I don't want to pay for the research.

I hope a new LOZ comes out for DS before any ports do. As for OOT2d, thats one of the biggest scam in all of LOZ fandom.

Yes! That sounds great. I'm tired of having Link being born over and over, there should be a new hero in Hyrule, or better, several new heroes in Hyrule like you said. Designing your own Zelda character who plays in a DS RPG with other original heroes. That would be heaven.

It would also be a new franchise.

OoT has been done enough. I will never be able to afford a DS anyways. If they have to put an old Zelda game on the DS, I'd rather it be Majora's Mask.

Which is also called evolution.

If you ignore the fact that playing Wind Waker fundamentally feels the same as playing the original Legend of Zelda, yet is considered an evolution of the franchise.
