Does anyone know if they're planning to put out Ocarina of Time for the DS?

(Hah, DJ. Beat you to it :P )

I damn well hope that they don't put OoT on the DS. I already have four versions of the game.

I'd be suprised if OoT didn't come out for the DS. Nintendo knows no matter how many times they release that game we'll be dumb enough to buy it! But having OoT in one side of my DS and aLttP in the other side would be hheeaavveenn.

I'm sure that we'll get a all new zelda game for the DS tho, prolly not til the end of the DS's cycle (like GBC).

It'll probably go 4 swords (early 2006) OoT (late 2006) all new zelda DS (mid 2007).

I dunno, I think four swords would work out really well on the DS..much better than on the Gamecube. But I seriously hope this is the last of the four swords, because I'm getting sick of it. It was nice with the w/ aLttP rerelease, The GCN version was intresting, the DS version will make sence, but it's getting old...

Four? I only have three! Where's the last one from?

OoT DS would be great, just like Mario64DS. Now, it's portable, and I already know how to beat it, so what you do with it is basically show off. "Hey! Check out this guy! He's kickin' ass!"

And I'm sick of Four Swords.

Ignore joey, he's just biased. ;)

Considering you could control the four Links by yourself in FSA and TMC, and Aonuma specifically stated he learned from his mistake in FS (you could only play with other people), I think it's a safe bet that FS DS can be played from one to four people.

I dunno I think that if they use of DS's features really well, the new Four Swords game could be really fun.

No more OoT, please. I got bored with Master Quest, so I don't think anything will keep me from disliking another version. It was magic the first time I played it, but I've played through it well too many times now.

Don't knock FS. I was skeptical when I first heard of multiplayer Zelda, but FSA is one of the best recent titles in the series. If only it were longer, and had more to do. And allowed me to name my character after myself.

Your point? FSA could be played single player, but it was still basically a piece of crap.

And tMC wasn't a Four Swords game.

I have both the gold and grey cartridges of the N64 verison, which I'm counting as two.

And then of course there's Master Quest and the Collector's edition.

If they released OoT on DS I probably wouldn't buy it. I've already got it on my N64, as well as the 2 Zelda bonus discs. I think that a new Four Swords is a good idea considering all of the DS's wireless capabilities.

Hey, hey, HEY! I'm not the only one who's sick of FS games... just the only one who was after the first one... and before it... but that's a discussion for another time and place.

As someone who got to play Four Swords with other people, I consider the games brilliant. Single player they are lacking, however. As such, I anticipate FS DS.

I dunno.. The reason a DS OoT would be so appealing to me, is because I could actually take it with me to places. >_> I mean I can't exactly lug around my N64 everywhere I go, but with a DS, I can. O_O

Well, since OoT has been made and remade so many times, why not package it as a bonus cartridge along with the new Zelda Title? That way, for those that would like to have OoT on the DS, they can, and for those that don't, well, you could just give/send them to someone that doesn't have one and wants one, or sell it on eBay.... Just a thought tho.

OoT for the DS would be so cool. Imagine they put the game play on the top screen like they did on Super Mario 64 DS. They could put the item menu on the bottom screen allowing you to use the touchscreen or old way of choosing weapons without pausing the game. Also it would be portable, bringing one of the greatest games of all time to go basically anywhere. Another thing they could do is combine Oot and MM on one card thanks to the DS cards having a lot more space of the 64 cartridges. I would like to see that.

If they released OoT and Master Quest on the DS. I'd buy it. But I'd never play it. I loved OoT the first time around. I loved it on the N64 completely. It's my favourite game. But come now, in around five years, do we really need not one, not two, not three, but four OoT's (remember that there was the bonus disc with a Mario bundle, well, at least in the UK)? I don't think so.

If they enhanced the graphics a bit, and maybe did some real changes to it and called it OoTDS or something I would probably enjoy it.

FSA wasn't crap. And I don't think I said TMC was an FS game, just that you could control four Links.

And God damn you, l-o-s, the "T" in TMC is capitalized! :P

I would kill to see OoT on DS. I never really had the chance to get into gaming until the last couple years, so obviously was deprived of the 64 experiance (not that I woulda known what I was doing at the time). By the time GCN rolled around, I was lucky to get a PS1 instead from Jaina and Delphi for my birthday (last year), went for a PS2 when I had a bit of extra money, and as it is that poor box sits neglected while we only have one tv in the house.

I'm really considering buying a DS, but I'm hesitant to spend so much money (yeah, kids- some of us poor college students dun have much to spare!) with so few games that I'd be interested in (last handheld I had was my GBC...right before GBA came out. Damn Nintendo). If I'm ever going to play a decent Zelda game, it'll haveta be on a handheld. And if I'm ever going to get a DS, it'll haveta be worth it by having games that I'd want to grab in an instant. Otherwise, I'd probably just find myself playing the Advance games I've missed out on more than anything specifically for DS.

Besides, I can never get sick of OoT Link. ^___^

As someone who got to play Four Swords with other people, I consider the experience just about equal, as far as enjoyment goes, with playing hopscotch on a bed of nails. But then, I just generally hate multiplayer games/game modes. Especially when the only factor given any real consideration is the multiplayer aspect, making the rest of the game suffer horrendously. But yeah, I'll shut up now, since I'm going pretty far off-topic...

I don't care what it says on the box, as a general rule I don't capitolize insignificant little words like "the", or "a", or "and" in the abbreviations of Zelda games.

So there :P

Actually, I've got to agree with Joey. Anything Four Swordish sucks (in my opinion).
