No, I don't mind at all. Besides, it just reaffirms that this thread is too big for it's own good, when people are getting lost in it ;)

SteveT: That remix is awesome. Not usually my sort of thing, but that's really good.

Yeah, it didn't seem to fit the style of your usual picks. Figured I'd post it anyway, and I am glad you liked.

I found this awesome hip hop remix to Saria's Song...that was pretty cool, I am gonna go listen to some of Rork's, he is pretty good. He is the remixer and my fellow staff member over at Zelda Dungeon.

....Damn. >.>

When you first posted this thread, I looked over it because I don't listen to music. You've converted me to listen to some music, Los! XD

I've saved most of these songs now. XD

EDIT: but.... I can't get any of the songs from http://www.ocremix.org to work. x.x

You didn't listen to any music, TJ? Shame on you ;) At least you have seen the light, now. And it is good.

Anyways, what's the problem with the ocremix ones? Are you downloading them and then they're not working? Are you having trouble downloading them at all?

I'm having trouble dowloading them at all. The VGmix ones work fine, though.

By the way, have you been able to find any Baten Kaitos remixes? That game has an awsome sound track.

Nobody's gotten around to doing Baten Kaitos remixes yet, as far as I can tell. Luckily the game has a very good OST already, so remixes won't be necessary for awhile ;)

What you do when downloading at OCremix is left-click on the download button, right click one of the "http - OC ReMix" links, choose save as, and you shoudl be good to go.

I can second that since I have the full ost.

I've had the full OST since before it's Japanese release, heh.

How many of you know Moonman? He mainly posts in the Zelda section, so many of you may not have ever even seen him.

But he's started his remixing career at Vgmix, here: http://www.vgmix.com...hp?song_id=2699

Check it out. It's a nice remix of one of FF6's boss battles. Not McVaffe quality or anything, but nobody could possibly expect that out of... anyone, really ;) Definitely worth a listen.

He doesn't want to sound like he's "tooting his own horn" or something, so he didn't want to really post about it. Bah. If he's not going to to it, I'll do it for him ;) This is what happens when you send me stuff over PMs, everyone.

Not many people have played it, but Beyond Good and Evil was an awesome game with an awesome soundtrack, and I couldn't help but notice that this song wasn't in that moster list... It's called Frame of Mind, and it's a collab piece that is done beautifully with sweeping orchestra, piano, and a touch of electronica, and some awesome vocals. Here's the link: Frame of Mind.

I have a soundtrack for Super Smash Bros Melee and one for Donkey Konga. I've also got a CD called Legend of Zelda: Melodies of Time with all the best tunes from all the Zelda games. But I gotta say the only song on the whole of my 3 game CDs worth listening to is the DK Rap on the Donkey Konga soundtrack. I'm not into game music, really. The Melodies of Time CD is good, but I'd never listen to it. Game music was designed to be background music. Are the remixes actually the kind of music you listen to?
I love the Robo Chocobo Voice song, though. I saw the video for it on flashplayer.com. I dunno if/where to download it, though... :(

LOS, do you upgrade the list every now and then?

If/when you do, you should post the changes you made in a new post, otherwise we'll never know. ^^;

(and its not really important, but you have Afterlife, a FF song, in there twice)

The files that you didn't know how to classify are termed "new age" or "easy listening". I'm a music major, so I may be of some assisstance. I was actually thinking of doing a few arrangements myself. Unfortunately, there's only so much new age music that I can take, so I didn't really like a few of them...

Pachelbel’s Canon is more commonly referred to as Canon in D, and is a very popular song at weddings. Sometimes you'll hear Christmas carols sung with this melody in the background. Referring to it as Canon in D would be inappropriate in this situation, though. The arranger changed the key of the piece for this arrangement. Instead of D, this one is in E Flat. For future reference, if you don't know what to classify something, just call it new age :) .

I'm such a nerd...

Heheh. WEll, that IS nice to know, though ;)

TJ: I haven't updated the list, no. I keep planning on doing that, but... I've more than doubled my remix collection, so the idea is a bit... daunting, to say the least ;)

Haha, I should have figured you guys liked VG Mix and OCR. I'm a big fan of OCR and have every file on my comp. =D The first time around it was a pain, but after they got Bittorrent up, it became easier to get my songs after I had to wipe my laptop. Over there I'm Millman and am JUST starting contributing to the remixes. I only have one Work In Progress called Medly ala Kingdom Hearts. I'll try to update it asap. But I'm really happy to see people who love music nearly as much as I. =D

EDIT: In the WIP area of OCR, or the WIP area of VGM, there's an AWESOME Gerudo Valley mix called Anthem of a Misguided Youth by chthonic (an AWESOME remixer). I don't know if anyone mentioned that yet, but if not, then you'll love it. I GUARANTEE it. It rivals Gerudo Interulde by djpretzel. Go get it.
