Legend of Zelda: Link's Prophecy
(For all those AoL/ZA/WoG/L:FoE Zelda games out there (almost nobody) a game where Link has telekinetic and precognitive powers)).

Zelda: The Imprisoning War
(For actual Zelda fans, a game that everyone wants to see and that tied in nicely between OOT and ALTTP. What do I want in it? A direct reference to the end of TWW, clearly stating that this is a whole New Hyrule and not the old one - confirming a hundred different theories on the boards. Title - shbort, snappy, instantly recognisable to die-hard Zelda fans and cool nonetheless. What does it need? Link vs. an entire army of moblins, on horeback, before you can reach Ganon's stronghold.)

I find it a bit... interesting, that so many of you want a large war, some epic, large-scale battle. To me, that goes against much of the spirit of the Zelda series, and is something that I never really want to see.

Not anything like an RTS, but something where it's in the time of a war, maybe the odd war-time cutscene. Still the same old "collect 3 whatevers" then "8 whatevers" Zelda.

I think it would be funny if we tried to think up the WORST names possible like:

The Legend of Zelda: The Pooper Scooper of Light (for Epona)

or

The Legend of Zelda: Tingle's Adventure

Oh and btw: Hello everyone, this is my first post, so please be nice : )

Thank God I'm not the only one who feels this way... If there is a war going on in the game, I really hope it isn't the focus of the game.

God no. But we heard so much about the war in various games, I'd like it to be going on in the background, with everyone tense and hostile and whatnot.

Everyone tense and hostile...? Zelda games are set in a fairly nice, happy fantasy world. Even in MM, when the world was literally about to end, people weren't hostile, or greedy, or even all that tense. Even in OoT's future, when Hyrule Castle Town was destroyed and everyone fled to Kakariko, they settled in and went about their lives. You could still find the couple twirling around in each other's arms, and you could still find cuccoos and dogs wandering about. You could still find minigames.

I know what you mean, Zythe. You want a wartorn Hyrule, with people living through the effects of a war, with more visible soldiers in the story even if you don't see them. You want a big war that is an important part of the story. You want a darker world.

But that is the very thing I am talking about, when I say it is fundamentally not Zelda.

I dunno I didnt really think about my names I just put down what sounded good. And your right about Zelda games they are generally light hearted. Most are putting war I think just because of the trailer where you see a whole lot of monsters rising from the hill with the sun in the back. :P

I don't think it should be anything that repeats a previous title. For example anything with "ages" would remind me too much of "Oracle of Ages". The names should have an individual title, something separate.

Good point, SkyDragon. So that rules out Adventure, Past, Awakening, Time, Ocarina, Mask, Majora, Oracle, Ages, Seasons, Wind, Waker, Minish, and Cap. And rightfully so.

Oh, and if anyone says something like... "A Link to the Future".. I swear I'll kill you ;)

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Future

Joking....joking. Seriously though I agree with Skydragon in not having any elements from previous games. As for my made up title, well how about this.

The Legend of Zelda: The Omen of Omega

That may seem a bit too dark for some Zelda fans, but maybe I can come up with something else later.

Omega... sounds way to science fictiony ;)

Reminds me of Xenogears, too. Alpha and Omega... the first and the last... the beginning and the end.

Well my reasons for naming it that were to be like some sage would tell Link of an ominous omen that speaks of the destruction of the world, hence the ending of it. Link is to stop this omen from happening, and since Omega is the last word in the Greek alphabet, and also means the End of something, I thought that would sound good with the title. Not that it really matters, just explaining a bit more of what I was trying to go with.

But that's just me. And, because I am a shameless nitpick, S.o.L., Link was NOT called a Wind Waker ever. The Wind Waker was his tool. He was the Hero of Winds, and occasionally, this is where you got that idea, the (Young) Waker of the Winds.

Wrong, Zephos called Link "the new Wind Waker". The King was the original one, as evidenced by Fado's comments about the King.

Well, the theme of Zelda is "Triumph over Adversity." You could certainly find a wartorn Hyrule, people killing each other, and wahtnot, but you'd still have all those things, with people smiling through hell and the like.

I don't mean as a major departure from the series. I like the happy Zeldas, like TWW. I simply meant, that the game should take place during the time of a war, I don't want any scenes of armies fighting. Civil wars are normally done one-on-one anyway, but that's beside the point.

I just want a game either set in a) pre-TMC, demon-ridden Hyrule, b)pre-OOT war-torn Hyrule, c)pre-LTTP plagued Hyrule or possibly d) pre-TWW (so post MM) Imprisoning War.

Okay, maybe he did say it once, I'm sor-what? WRONG AGAIN! Any old musician used the Wind Waker to pray to the Gods, possibly Fado, but possibly others as well. Link was the next one to use it, but Fado's title is not, "The King's Wind Waker," it's "Sage of the Wind." He's a Sage who awakens and strengthens the hero in times of evil, as it always has been.

An, just me, but I'd love a war. I would like the game to have that peaceful, serene magic we see in the first three seconds of the trailer as well, but I think it'd be nice if Link was a little independent, a little rebel, a little peace-loving guerrilla in something much bigger. That's what it was in the Adult version of OoT, if you think about it. Not exactly, but similar.

I don't want a somber game, just a grand-scale one. It can be an MM sort of serious.

Husse, Husse, Husse... At some point during the Wind Waker, someone, (Fado, probaly, though i don't remember) states that the King of Hyrule used the Wind Waker to conduct th sages and their music.

Nobody ever said anything about Fado using the Wind Waker, or being called the Wind Waker, or anything about his title being "The King's Wind Waker".

Lets not argue about it. take it your own way and the hell with everyone else. Now, as for the title... how about The Legend of Zelda: Darkest Hour. It could be set in A new Hyrule after TWW... I just thought about something crazy. What if OOT wasn't chronilogically the first game... What if TWW is actually a prequel to OOT! I just blew my own mind. *faints*

In the peaceful town of Hyrule a message is delievered to the Royal Family asking for a brave strong and just hero to recieve and ancient weapon filled with mysterious powers, from the Kingdom of "Metalrio". The Royal household come to the conclusion that the young lad named Link would best be suited for this job. As Link sets out on his mission he is told that the ancient blade is located in Talus Cave. Having to pass through local nusiances such as Octoroks, Tektites, and the likes of them and he is finally able to find the ancient blade. Upon touching the blade Link notices a strange aura, a sense of presence pulsating through the blade. As if a psychic message, or some visual message inside of his mind as if being probed shows him that a fight between a shadowy figure and a heroic knight. Sadly the knight falls in battle, and the shadowy figure stands before him triumphant. Strangely Link recognizes that this fallen warrior was but.......his fahter! Suddenly our hero is attacked by a band of thieves who had been following him to the Talus Cave. Link valiantly defends himself backing the thieves outside of the cave. Unfortunanly the thieves land a blow to the back of his head, knocking Link unconscious. The thieves throw the blade in a remote lake near the cave, and take Link hostage. Soon a blind man named "Cotaychus" notices that his intuitive ears send off a vibe, a peculiar vibe coming from the lake. The blind man searches frantically for what this strange sense is, and is soon possessed by the evil blade upon retrieving it. Elsewhere in the hideout of the thieves a mysterious fellow by named "Senyusi" passes through the thieves hideout undetected, and frees our young hero Link. "Senyusi" tells Link of the blind man who has become obessed with power, that he has been slaughtering towns in an act of madness. He believes that the man is operating under the influence of the "Belial" blade, and tells Link that the only way to defeat the weapon is to locate the Arrows of Spirit. These spiritual arrows will need to be shot at the eye of the blade, where its lifeforce resides. To obtain these arrows Link must ask the King of "Metalrio" what quests he must undertake to gain these sacred weapons. With that in mind, Link sents off for his journey, once again ready to end the forces of darkness and evil from uprising.

you should get all the major enemies from all the previous zelda games and put them together as an alliance (eg ganon, ganondorf, vaati{all forms}, agnim and ect) against hyrule known as the gods of the evil realm
and you should change the story a bit by getting link to search for all the sacred weapons such as the mastor sword, four sword, picori blade, wooden sword ect and when all are collected the master smith will forge it into a mighty quadrupil edge axe or a plain doubled edged axe with the power of the lightforce enthrusted into it (the picori and other helpers will help forge the weapon of the gods/godesses along the adventure)and with the aid of the minish cap, the talking boat(wateva its called)tinkle and his brothers and any other unmetioned characters, will defaet the evil once and for all

also zelda will gather all the over links from other legends aleternate realities (by traveling through time and ect to help in the fight and will fuze all links together to make a super link hybrid
and since the game will be so long it should be placed on a two special collectors editon(ok dont use that bit thats over exaduration)

the title should be called The Legend of Zelda : A link in time -final battle-
