I'm so sad I missed the cherry blossoms. :C

I'll see if I can play a little today since I called in sick because I feel like poop. But I might end up working on some stuff.
But I will go to your dream town if I cannot. Thankies.
I've just been so busy with school that I've neglected my town. x_x

Hana that is super cute ; ; I love how you put the mouse ears and tail on your outfit UvU
Why is it that whenever someone I actually WANT shows up at the campsite, I always lose their stupid game and they won't move to my town? :C I just fucked up trying to get Coco to move in, ugh.

I've been able to sway someone into moving before. His name is Butch!
I can't quite remember how many times I had to try.

I just recently picked this back up after forgetting about it for a few months. I'm finally getting my town looking a bit more organized and working on hybrid flowers~
And I finally caught my scorpion for the museum! I've been catching tarantulas for days now but just wasn't finding scorpions. I still have a few blanks in my bug encyclopedia but I was pretty happy about this anyway.
One of my favorite villagers left while I was hiatused from the game... but Eugene moved in, and he's pretty cool so I don't mind too much.
Do you guise still play? Catch me up; I want to hear your town news.

I've had quite a few villagers come and go since my last update.
My current village consists of:
Molly
Wolfgang
Big Top
Bianca
Dotty
Renee
Annalise
Broffina
Roald
The three notable losses I've had are Beardo, Boomer, and Claudia. I wasn't able to catch them before they left.

Yeah, I'd shudder to think what my town would look like RN without the beautiful town ordinance.
This year due to too many stretches of not playing enough, I lost Nan and Ricky, which I was a little upset about. I also lost Timbra and Flip, which I wasn't super concerned about. I've talked Bianca out of moving once or twice and talked Dizzy out of moving once.

(It seems to be because of this: On any given day, there can only be up to one villager in the "going to move" phase, where the date in the future that they are planning to move is pre-determined, and you have up to that date to convince them not to move out. The way the game detects if anyone has moved out when you boot it up is that it checks to see if there are is a villagers in their move-out phase who is past their move-out date. The game won't retroactively put a villager in the move-out phase who wasn't already in that phase so only a villager who was planning to move out the last time you played the game can possibly move out and if you have convinced them not to then they won't)
I'm not sure if it works 100 percent of the time... I seem to have had pretty good luck with it, I can't recall a time it ever failed for me. I haven't done it over periods longer than around a month, though.
One problem is that sometimes there can be a villager who is planning to move out but you aren't aware of it. This is because they will only tell you about their plans to move out if they do that thing where they see you from a distance and go "!" and approach you. Usually if you talk to the other villagers enough normally they will tell you if someone else is planning on moving but I've had some cases where I didn't know about the moving villager until they did the "!" even after talking to everyone more once. It can be a pain.

I lost Big Top last week. :C
He was one of my originals and favorites, though I was fortunately able to get Jezzer to invite him to his town before he left, so at least I can go visit him.
Charlise is my new villager, and she moved into my perfect cherry orchard. >:C

Annalise is moving away today, but that's okay, since I talked a camper into moving to my town today, a kangaroo named Kitt.

Animal Crossing is a game that I feel offers diminishing returns the more I play it. When I started, I had a lot of fun building up my house, collecting the Nintendo items, finding some good clothes, and talking to Bud, the lion who likes working out and surfing. But when I got everything to a point where I was reasonably satisfied, I struggled to keep playing because I didn't really need any more stuff. I did take a hiatus at one point but I struggled to get back into the game afterwards. That all said, I thought this game was excellent. It's a big improvement over Wild World in almost every respect. I just don't think it has the endless playability that the game promises.

Same. Once I discovered how to 'cheat' (I found /r/acturnips and made a fuckton of money in just a few weeks) and bought everything I wanted I stopped feeling the need to check on my town everyday. Like you, I really enjoyed it while I was building my town, but I haven't picked it up in months. I've thought about just restarting my town but meh. I think I'm still too burnt out. XD

I just started this game. Five minutes in and they already named me Mayor of ButtTown.
