It was not pleasant.

Just plain milk and no honey? No, sir. Needs the sweetener for full flavor effect. Milk is okay so long as it's 2% or whole. The tea by itself is also okay, but black breakfast tea wouldn't be my first choice if I'm drinking something plain.

"Tea" in the south means something completely different than in the rest of the nation. Here, it's a lot of ice, a good bit of sugar, and little bit of "tea." It never involves any milk.

Southern sweet tea, which is clear, light, and filled with a tooth-rotting nectar flavor.
And then there's cheap, over-steeped black breakfast tea. God, that's a wakeup. Who needs coffee.
edit: Okay, those are the two teas that I drink frequently. Because Selena seems to want to maim me for pretending that I don't like others, which I do. Chai, white, jasmine, green, not Earl Grey mind you.

A "good bit?!" The pitcher is 90% sugar!
I drink almost all of my teas plain, and used to drink English breakfast plain, but I just developed the habit of adding honey and milk at some point. Only drink it in the mornings if I've got time before my day starts. Alternative to coffee, since coffee is horrible and irritates my stomach.
Now, Stew and this "milk in green tea" business is a whole 'nother matter of wrong.

And yes, I realize that milk in tea is well-respected and established. It just didn't turn out well for me.

I do like some kinds of teas unsweetened; I have some blooming teas in fruit flavors that are tasty on their own, and green and oolong tea goes unsweetened when I'm having them with Chinese or Japanese food.

I don't put milk in iced tea, and when I make a batch, I leave it unsweetened, and add agave nectar or sugar syrup to taste with each glass.
Oooh. Agave nectar. That sounds like something I'll have to try out, cuz' I've got a bottle for the rare occasion I mix up a margarita.

I put milk in my tea all the time. Unless I'm sick.

If i do have Earl Grey, I prefer it with some honey. However, London Fog's are amazing <3

The milk first or not thing usually depends on whether you take sugar. With sugar the milk should go last else the sugar doesn't dissolve properly.
Serious business.
And Tetley FTW.

Wat. I've always put sugar in last and it dissolves fine. xD
