Looks good, glad to see Cap will stick to his guns on his stance about right and wrong without it being a mean spirited take that at people being old fashioned by also making him horribly racist and backwards. -glances at Ultimate-

Seems like the "Super Soldier" uniform is just his official SHIELD uniform and his more classic colors will be in the movie somewhere, which I'm okay with. Pleasantly surprised they're not completely and utterly spoiling who the Winter Soldier is, but they've got 6 months to ruin that surprise. Falcon looks like it'll work out, and hopefully he'll pop up in Age of Ultron with a more colorful outfit.

I was kind of hoping Hawkeye would be in this one. Mostly because we could have some variation of Cap's Kooky Quartet. Or hey, a solo Hawkeye movie based off the Matt Fraction run would also be fantastic.

Liking Winter Soldier so far.

Is this the thread where I talk about how much I wish Agents of SHIELD was better? Because I really wish Agents of SHIELD was better.

EDIT: Specifically, I like that we get small pieces here and there like Graviton in episode.... 3? I also like we're getting Arc stuff, but it seems kinda been there, done that after Alphas and Heroes. Coulson is awesome, he's like team dad or whatever. The other characters are acceptable. Fuck Fitz and Simmons though, seriously. Why do we need two of the same character?

On the new Ant Man movie:

Paul Rudd and Rashida Jones as Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne

http://schmoesknow.c...janet-van-dyne/

Was actually hoping it would be Simon Pegg.

Same, but I can live with that it done well. That SDCC demo from last year is now also "legally" roaming Youtube, and it looks pretty nice, though they'll have to work on the costume a little so it won't look silly to most moviegoers, though I thought it was looking good.

So. You know how Marvel regained the film rights to Daredevil last year? Plus how they were adament to point out that hoodie guy in the SHIELD premiere wasn't Luke Cage?

Well, now we know what they did with it and why.

Basically, exclusive deal with Netflix to run four different, thirteen episode long series based on Daredevil, Powerfist, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, followed up by a Defenders mini-series. On one hand, the way SHIELD's turned out makes me worry a lot, and while the argument is valid that these guys aren't as big a names as the Avengers to get movies, I'm a little worried if TV show budget can properly show off any of them besides Jessica. Plus we're getting movies on Cosmic Marvel and Ant-Man, Avenger member or not for that last one, so anyone can get a movie in that case.

On the other....Ironfist. Dude. And if it works out right it could be cool, though I also wonder if it's a desperate grab to try and have dark and gritty superheroics along with the more fun side the Avengers shows. It's beyond a pipe dream, but it'd be nice if in a future Avengers 3 or 4 these guys end up showing up in the movies proper.

Anyway, just an itneresting development. I honestly can't blame Marvel for trying to throw up everythin they can to see what'll stick, though if the returns diminish anymore it'll be problematic.

This is pretty cool. But given they have a television show format, I would have rather just had a Defenders show with the four of them right off the bat. If they want to give us origin stories over the course of flashbacks, so be it. But I think it would be more fun starting out with them together. We don't need to imitate Avengers in TV format.

So Thor the Dark World. I don't wanna type up this huge spoilery diatribe, so I won't. I loved it. Easily the best of Phase Two thus far. (Not hard when we're only two movies in.) The movie was never heavy handed with the comedy, and had enough action to more than satisfy. AND THE CAMEOS! I won't spoil the whos and the hows and the whats, but oh man the cameos in this film were amazing.

All in all, loved it as much as the first.

Just saw Thor: The Dark World. Loved it, awesome great movie that stands on its own (well, as a sequel to the first one anyway) that builds the world while being a damn good story in its own right. Honestly surprised me with a few twists as often as I saw one or two things coming. They did a really good job of balancing out the silly humor with the action and I loved how much more of the (Marvel) Thor mythology they threw in. I'll also agree, the cameos are great, especially the one in the end that most people watching will probably just get confused by.

Thor 2 was awesome. I was surprised with how much I liked the first one but it's nice to see this one topped it. Christopher Eccelston as Malekith was spot on and the further development of Thor's world of Asgard was awesome. What really got me was the interactions and relationship between Thor and Loki, always interesting and sometimes even painful to watch.

On the TV front, SHIELD still isn't very good - it's better then episode i, but it's still not good. I don't much like Arrow and I even like that show a heck of a lot better at this point. Lots of good little bits with Coulson trying to figure himself and his death out, and while boring Ming-Na's character is fine, but overall it's still kinda...eh.

Nice little shout out to HAMMER in the last episode, and hey, Victoria Hand showed up too, complete with completely unexplained red stripe in her hair. Completely sensible character pulled from the comics in the show like I wanted, but still written kinda awfully so....again, eh.

In total pipe dream territory that'll never happend...

Spoiler

I still have no idea why that movie is being made.

A The Tick movie would make more sense.

Vin Diesel was confirmed a long time ago. Most of what Groot says is "I am Groot!" They're being soooo public about Diesel being Groot that I bet the majority of his voice work in GotG will be as Thanos.

Edit: Sorry. Apparently despite my remembering Vin Diesel himself talking about voicing Groot, it wasn't 'official'. My mistake Frank.

Isn't he in the mo-cap suit as well? But yeah, there's an awful lot of gushing over him saying "I Am Groot" in different inflections that it's a little suspicious.

Isn't the news that Bradley Cooper is Rocket Raccoon? I hope he stays Cockney and/or Australian but if it sounds like a bad fake then maybe not...

Relevant link is relevant.

Edgar Wright tweeted that link relatively recently, saying he's spilled the beans on his plans for this film a long time ago.

The new Winter Soldier Trailer. Starts out exactly like the last one but it's significantly different.

You know, the best parts of the first Cap movie were really the first half, the bits where Cap is being heroic and a stand up straight arrow guy, it's the second half where everything goes "KILLING NAZI'S HYDRA! YEAAAHHH!!!!!" that things got shakey. If they can keep the tone of that first half in a modern setting where Steve's center and stance are questioned and doubted by everyone else this could be great. Looks nice enough so far, though I'm a little concerned we may not pull off the hat trick of Scarlett Johanssen managing to turn in an okay performance from what they've shown.

In the comics does Cap know who the Winter Soldier is? Cause from the 2 trailers I don't think they've shown any scenes that are like 'omg Bucky you're alive' when his face is clearly seen.

So, that explains how they intend to diffuse that romantic entanglement after hinting and prodding at the potential throughout the movie. Good.
