Not sure I like the new Iron Man armour as much as the others; a lot of gold dominating there. Really looking forward to Winter Soldier to see how Rogers fits into the modern world.

I'm really looking forward to the next set of individual Avengers movies, though there's still nothing about a second Incredible Hulk.

Awesome, so they are doing the Winter Soldier story for Captain America - wonder if Black Widow will figure into the story any for this version. Probably safe to assume Thor will be about the dark elves, but maybe they'll get Surtur in there too? He'd be a decewnt villain for the next Avengers though the ending of the movie already made it clear who'll probably be the antagonist there. The Extremis Mark VIII (or IX?) is a little too gold for me, but eh, we'll see. Curious which Ant-Man they'll use for the movie and hopefully they'll get The Wasp in there too.

And if you told me they would even be considering a Guardians of the Galaxy movie a few years ago I'd have called you crazy. Still not holding my breath, though the thought of Rocket Raccoon and Groot on the big screen amuses me.

Believe it or not, it's not the lack of cleavage that turns me off. The new costume just looks really meh to me - if all they had done was cover up the boob window on her old outfit and given her the new cpae/logo/collar thing, I'd be happy.

I'm not really looking forward to these.

I just have big issues with the way Marvel chose to tie their universe together. It's not the fact that they tied them together with the Avengers stuff in the first place, it's just that they did a piss poor job of doing it, because their singular films suffered for it.

Thor set images here. Been a little busy with real life to pay as much attention as I typically do, but I hadn't heard that one of the guys who directs Game of Thrones was doing this movie. Still, some images of a big battle with Thor, Sif and other Asgardians fighting....um, orcs. Yeah yeah, they're probably minions of Surtur or one of the other big bads from the comic but that's what the one guy who looks like he dozed off looks like. For anyone who was bothered by the longer hair in Avengers, surprise, even longer here - I await the Goldilocks comments from Stark in Avengers 2 if his hair is even longer there.

YES. This would be the greatest.

Don't make it avengers two though. Keep building up the Character's close relationships for another movie or two and then spring Civil War on the public! Executed well (ie joss whedon) it could be the greatest movie event of our time!


...And then marvel can finally just stop their bullshit and we can all move on.

I don't know much about Marvel but when I think about what I do know about the civil war and think about Joss Whedon doing it, it could be the greatest thing to happen in all super hero fiction.

Ant Man won't be until Phase Three. But it's the first of Phase Three. Also last news I heard didn't expressly state it was a comedy. Just because Edgar Wright is directing doesn't mean comedy. Although it doesn't mean strictly serious either. The skill with which he blends the two is one reason he's a favorite director of mine.

I always thought Cap's outfit should've more resembled what he had in The First Avenger, and in that movie he should've stuck with something closer to the jacket and helmet he threw over the theatrical one, kinda like in the Ultimate Universe. Little more grounded and real and leave the more overt superhero one for the Avengers proper. The only thing that bothered me about that costume was the helmet though, really.

And I had heard about that Ant-Man test reel from SDCC, it really does look good.

Hmm. I like that more of the action will take place in one of the other realms that's not Midgard/Earth, but it seems a little off. Maybe they'll give the Asgardians more time to shine as well - the Warriros Three and Sif did fine, but maybe they'll let Frigga do more then cry at Odin's bedside and murder three mooks. Should hopefully still be good.

I didn't realize it earlier, but after doing more then just a glance at the concept art, it looks like Cap will be wearing the Super Soldier/Commander Rodgers suit from the comics. Cool.

So, if Iron Man 3 is any indicator, we may get a worthwhile Captain America movie YET, since the darker, more personal tone really fits that series better then what we got in the second half of it.
