a) You can't say that until you see the game in motion
B) It's far from 'ultra' realistic anything. Clearly you need to play Doom 3 for ultra-realistic lighting

Can I say if it's ultra-sweet to look at? XDUltra-realistic...shading...and lighting?

Uh... yeah. I am. Your point? Are you suggesting that those screens are spoilers or something?

Who says it's Epona?*drools all over keyboard* Can you say "pre-order?" We thought you could. Love the Epona picture. So serene! It'd be good for wallpaper were it a titch larger.

Miyamoto says it's Epona. They didn't admit it at first, but they did recently.
I haven't heard of this. Have a link?

I think I would have heard of it, and, truth be told, I think you're mistaken, unless it's in that new NoE Aonuma interveiw which I haven't gotten around to reading yet.

I have a feeling that similar to WW's over-world there will be these huge open areas with nothing much to do in them except for the occasional point of interest. Basically, they just replaced the ocean with grass and the boat with the horse.
Not that this will be a bad thing because land offers a lot more variety than blue ocean and the occasional tiny island.
I think one thing that has me really excited about this game is that there will be real forest(s) in it with individual trees. I've dreamed of seeing that in a 3D Zelda since I first heard of Ocarina of Time.

Sadly these pics have been online for 2 days in Nintendo's Press room - I just have zero access to my site files at the moment as I am home for Thanksgiving. It's only three pics...and a bigger update is coming in a few weeks...

Oh and in case anybody was interested this is just hot off the wire:
"Nintendo has Zelda in development for the Cube, of course, and it's going to be one of the biggest titles of next year. Commenting on the game's development, Miyamoto says: 'Development is progressing very well. Rather than showing video footage of the game in mid development, we'll debut the final version at E3.' That's right, E3 will see a final version of Zelda in playable form, according to Miyamoto. Rather than the term 'final' being used to mean that the game will be finished by E3, we have a feeling Miyamoto is commenting that the E3 version will closely reflect what we can expect of the final product."
