They look good, I just saw them on IGN before I read this post. I wonder if the beast is some sort of moblin? Or another large nasty heart stealing monster. The screens look good though, and I love the idea of horseback fighting.

As usual, the ultra-realistic shading and lighting means I can't tell wtf anything is.. XD just like in real life.

Ultra-realistic...shading...and lighting?

a) You can't say that until you see the game in motion
B) It's far from 'ultra' realistic anything. Clearly you need to play Doom 3 for ultra-realistic lighting ;).

And I thought you were all about non spoilers. Still pretty nice pics.

Can I say if it's ultra-sweet to look at? XD

Uh... yeah. I am. Your point? Are you suggesting that those screens are spoilers or something?

*drools all over keyboard* Can you say "pre-order?" We thought you could. Love the Epona picture. So serene! It'd be good for wallpaper were it a titch larger.

Miyamoto says it's Epona. They didn't admit it at first, but they did recently.

I'd prefer a direct link, if you can find it.

I think I would have heard of it, and, truth be told, I think you're mistaken, unless it's in that new NoE Aonuma interveiw which I haven't gotten around to reading yet.

One thing I noticed is the huge distance of the land. You couldn't really tell from the trailer because of the hills, but in these pics the over-world just seems to go on forever.

I have a feeling that similar to WW's over-world there will be these huge open areas with nothing much to do in them except for the occasional point of interest. Basically, they just replaced the ocean with grass and the boat with the horse.

Not that this will be a bad thing because land offers a lot more variety than blue ocean and the occasional tiny island.

I think one thing that has me really excited about this game is that there will be real forest(s) in it with individual trees. I've dreamed of seeing that in a 3D Zelda since I first heard of Ocarina of Time.

Hmm, interesting pics. I like the look of the big worm thing. So far it seems that some spiffy looking enemies will be in this one. TWW I was happy with because they added of baddy personality and movement, and some awsome designs. I hope the same is with this one.

I'm totally loving the camera work. They really play with depth of field nicely and actually show focal distance is being applied, rather than perfect clarity for all objects on screen.

Sadly these pics have been online for 2 days in Nintendo's Press room - I just have zero access to my site files at the moment as I am home for Thanksgiving. It's only three pics...and a bigger update is coming in a few weeks...

Awesome shots. Seriously. It's hard to tell there's a highly modified TWW engine making it. Imprisoning war maybe? Post Wind Waker? Too much speculation. Must sleep.

Hmm. OoT Link's blue earrings are back in these shots. They were absent before.

I really want it to be about what happened to Link when he returned from Termina, but I guess that's not going to happen...

I personally want it to be the Imprisoning War, or a new Link in some fashion. Personally I dont want it coming back to the OoT Link for some time, perhapes shine light on the older ones, or atleast a game that brings the storyline together better.

What's wrong with OoT Link?

Oh and in case anybody was interested this is just hot off the wire:

"Nintendo has Zelda in development for the Cube, of course, and it's going to be one of the biggest titles of next year. Commenting on the game's development, Miyamoto says: 'Development is progressing very well. Rather than showing video footage of the game in mid development, we'll debut the final version at E3.' That's right, E3 will see a final version of Zelda in playable form, according to Miyamoto. Rather than the term 'final' being used to mean that the game will be finished by E3, we have a feeling Miyamoto is commenting that the E3 version will closely reflect what we can expect of the final product."

I'm not saying it HAS to be OoT Link, I'd just like to know, in the game, in some fashion, whatever happened to him after Termina. Did he stay? Did he go? Did he die? (Well, we know he did eventually, but I mean immediately.) What? What? WHAT?

Well, I have it on the highest authority that he returned to Hyrule, married Zelda, and lived a full and happy life. Satisfied?
