I didn't see any recent threads that discussed this, so I want to ask you all. When before OoT do you think that SS will take place? Will it be soon after Hyrule's creation? Will it be when the Temple of Time was built? Will it be the war against the Twili? I personally don't know what to think.

I don't know what to think either, but Zelda games seem to work in hundreds of years between each other, so I personally think it's hundreds of years before OoT. I wouldn't be too surprised if we see the Temple of Time being made, or something like that, since this seems to be a story of how the Master Sword came to be. Since the land below already exists and has had enough time for monsters to take over, the creation of it probably already happened a while ago, but this point isn't based on much. As for the war against the interlopers, it would be an acceptable viewpoint to think Nintendo would include this, but I doubt they will be; might be too much continuity for Nintendo.

I imagine it'll just be set as a vague "centuries before" that we usually get. Considering how tightly woven they are, if the Master Sword hasn't been formed, the Temple of Time probably hasn't been either. Infact, my personal opinion is that the land of Hyrule hasn't been populated by people yet.

I'd say that SS takes place many centuries before OOT, as wasn't it mentioned in OOT that the temple had already been around for a while? From the looks of things so far, SS seems to be more of a prequel to TP than OOT.

"From the looks of things", meaning what? We know the Master Sword hasn't been created yet, so it's pretty much cemented as a prequel to OOT.

I was referring to things like Skyloft might be the Ooccaa city in TP, the origins of the temple of time which needs to be cleared up, and a few of the story elements. The game itself takes place before OOT, but a few of the elements of SS mentioned so far a similar to a few of the elements from TP.
