Oh ok. I just took 'darkest Zelda yet' as in it's mood and presentation not it's story content. I just know SS will be pretty dark in story even if it's more subtle like it was in TWW. Which I kinda like.
As long as it is darker than TP, I'm good. And not like MM is supposed to be. And regarding graphics, I have always liked the cel shaded style.

Look, all I know is that they need to improve the graphics a bit. Link looks rather strange.
I'm not sure he does, though - he's not much different that the TP Link:
Honestly, he looks better/more cleaned up to me.
I prefer the SS version of Link, too, though I hope they tone down the lips a bit.
I noticed the debate over the bright colour palette of the E3 demo (not just here, but in other forums), and I'd take a guess to say that if you're going to have one world in the sky that is happy, and another that is very dark and evil, you'd make the two visually distinctive. And if I were making an E3 demo, I'd give people the happy world to start, not the depressing as hell version. Therefore, the bright colours of the demo make a lot of sense and you'll probably get your dark elements. E3 was just not the proper time to show them.
Sorry if this has been said before. I came in late to this thread.

Don't assume too much from so little information.

Some have speculated this. I think it make sense that the world below would be dark and gloomy. After all, since a bank of clouds seperates the two worlds, then literally little to no light would reach the world below. It would be literally dark by default.
I'm starting to imagine a world much like Atmos from Storm Hawks. I'm stoked. Be even more stoked if the Sword Girl is Les Yay just like Piper.

Okay, so I'm pretty sure I heard Nintendo say that it was being delayed to 2011, but... I was at GameStop yesterday, and their release booklet says that it's supposed to be out in November. The booklet said "Skyward Sword," so that page was printed after E3. I didn't want to doubt it, (because how cool of a change would that be?) but even Miyamoto-san said that it would be out in 2011, due to development. I'm thinking I'll go with that, but still...
I say you were right to ignore it. I remember Twilight Princess being given a 2005 release date by... well, I forget what game company it was. And to top off their complete lack of knowledge, they described it as a shoot-em up.

I like that Storm Hawks show. That would do well. :3
Nameless_Joe: The previous Zelda games were pretty much my template as well. You want to show people what they've lost. I remember playing Ocarina of Time and being so happy in the beginning and actually feeling depressed when Ganondorf took over. It really serves what Miyamoto's always saying, about bringing the player into the game emotionally so that you don't feel that separation: you actually feel like you're in the game and you have this investment to complete it.
