Why does everybody seem to assume that ST will connect to either the Four Swords series or the NES games?

The Lokomo actually say that they don't think they'll be needed anymore, meaning that they presumably won't return to the world.

But right after that they say that Byrne will return someday without his memories and that they'll re-incarnate etc? Seems rather conflicting. ;)

Raien does make some interesting points though. It seems that the only thing supporting ST-TMC besides force is the flimsy ending...

They can reincarnate, but that doesn't mean that they'll return to the mortal world.

ST actually makes that order impossible. It was stated in the ending that the humans no longer need the guidence of the spirits (the Lokomo are obviously not needed to protect the spirit tracks any more, because
Spoiler
). They were always guided by the spirits in the older games. I think we can finally say that placing older games on the AT isn't possible anymore.

I still think the idea of the Locomo becoming the Wind Tribe. Even if it's impossible, it's an awesome fanfiction fodder.

What race in the Zelda series has not been argued to have been/become the Wind Tribe anyway?

I hope so, but still...the use of force and such is intriguing. Although Nerushi HAS pointed out to me that the only game they've made that's 100% confirmed to be on the CT is TP. So they could make a game on the CT using force-in which case I would have no doubt in my mind about games on the CT.

Quite a few, but I find the Locomo a lot more likely because, well, they explicitly state they'll reincarnate as a sky-based species.

When did they say that?

Actually, we can be certain that the oracles are on the CT because of Twinrova's presense, and it is implied that this is OOT's Twinrova.

And TP more or less confirms that ALTTP takes place after it due to the MS location. And force is so generic. It doesn't even share the same purpose in all of these games. In FSA, it powers the FS. In PH, it saves you in the temple (I think). In ST, it gives you bonus tracks. And was ST made by the same development team that made FSA? I noticed similarities in the final boss battle.

I wouldn't take Capcoms use of cameos as much evidence. If Ganon can be revived a million times so can Twinrova.

Oh yeah I completely agree with you that ALttP is on the CT. It's just that Aonuma said he was connecting all the games together and using force for one thing to not connect the games is...well...a bit strange.

I don't have the ST staff on the giant chart comparisons yet. All I can say off the top of my head is that FSA and TP share the same script writer.

The chart for pretty much everything regarding scriptwriters can be found on ZI in this post:

http://forums.zeldainformer.com/topic/4222-theory-resources-2/page__view__findpost__p__44446

I'll attempt to contact LoZH and help him update the chart.

twinrova wasn't a cameo in the oracles. She was a part of the story.

I can see where Destiny is coming from. The Oracles were most likely once on the AT at its release (that is, before TWW's release). Twinrova was dead on the AT at the time, and Capcom did what they did anyhow. I would only place OoX on the CT because I believe ALttP and LoZ take it there (since ALttP on the CT is probably its best placement now) rather than because of Twinrova. Twinrova's status on the CT is just a nice little addition rather than hard evidence, really. Simply put, Capcom reuses characters all the time without a rhyme or reason; this also isn't limited to just their Zelda games.

Capcom does make interesting games. We actually have many timeline pieces. I'll make another thread on that.
