Yeah, it's just that the "empty casket" explanation is the most poignant meaning of the words "empty walls" I could think of...I wasn't sure if that was obviously intended or if Serj just figured the words "empty" and "walls" were malignant-sounding enough.

Well, if you looked up the meaning behind the words, walls doesn't actually mean walls...he is talking about Iraq...empty meaning that there really is nothing more for us to do there. Why does he use children? Because parents send their own children to fight in wars....

Although some have persevered the walls being the media...and us standing behind them..the empty part meaning that we are being kept from the true meaning behind the war.

Walls is a way overused metaphor, is all. I'd expect better of Serj. It seemed like he was condemning someone to see what those soldiers see, from "behind" the walls of the caskets that they're not in. Assuming they're MIA, of course. Nice and spooky =D

I've been getting into black metal lately. I love the sinister sound of the genre. It really scratches a musical itch I've had for awhile.

I bought my brother the Like a Version 2009 album featuring some bands in the JJJ studio doing covers of their choice.

Here are a few that stood out for me.

Philadelphia Grand Jury covering Jay Z's "99 Problems"

Ben Harper covering Freddie Mercury and David Bowie's "Under Pressure"

Holly Throsby covering You Am I's "Berlin Chair"

The Kooks covering MGMT's "Kids"
