Well, I suppose I was going on a different definition of canon than you were. I meant "stuff you can use in a timeline debate" essentially. I suppose the only games that we can dismiss with your definition (which is much broader than mine) are the CD-i games.I can live with that. I just don't feel they should automatically be dismissed from canon forthright. I can understand not incorporating them, but I take issue with just saying they don't happen at all.

All of then except the CD-i games. If they add something relevent to the timeline such as the tingle game, AST or even the Zelda G&W, they should be considered Canon.
